New character Sheryl Nome from Macross Frontier is pretty hot and sure has the potential of going higher. I don't know what the hell Lacus's still doing in this ranking though o___O

C.C. is and always will be my favorite character in Geass (alongside Lelouch, of course). For a short time in the beginning of R1, Kallen was ahead of her in the polls, but after episode 11 or so, C.C. skyrocketed to the top and stayed there. Fans may be fickle, but C.C. has a really devoted fanbase that'll stay with her until it's her time to shine in R2 (which, considering the episode summaries from the magazines, will possibly be in a few episodes)

Really though, I think C.C. is far more interesting than Kallen. Dunno, with Kallen...I felt like I've seen her character done before. But it's one of the first times I've seen a character like C.C., and everything she does is just intriguing. It's not like I hate Kallen. She'd be a lot more enjoyable if it wasn't for FANSERVICE (I have the same gripe about C.C., actually, but I don't think hers in comparison is that bad), but I just don't find her all that interesting compared to C.C..

Meh, Sheryl Nome should be #1 in my book. But I do like both C.C. and Kallen, so I don't mind them being 1 & 2. Lacus is still there because GS is still super popular. There's no reason for her not to be there...I mean Rei is still on there. (Ah I forgot about Rebuild...that's probably why Rei is there).

The only reason I might say Kallen should be #1 at the moment ahead of C.C. is because while C.C. is ever amusing, she has barely had any screen time in R2. Plus, I'm really suspicious of C.C. and feel she has something up her sleeve that could end up hurting Lulu.

XD GINTAMA IS IN THE TOP 20?? I have to admit, that show is pretty amazing, but I never take it seriously... so to see it up there is pretty awesome. ANd I saw some of the characters made it on the character ranking list scan... <3

I think it was around ep 1-5 when C.C. appeared no more than 3' in total -___- She did leave really strong impression in the rest of S1 to the point that fans still devoted to her despite her lack of screen time in this season.

The most fanservice C.C. ever provided must be that pink panties in the school festival ep and it was nowhere near the other girls'.

I have to agree. I like her, but Gundam 00 just has some of the most bland, unimportant females I've seen in a Gundam show. And Gundam isn't exactly the best series at having strong, dynamic female roles. =/

Sheryl is awesome. I actually do like Lacus, but I definitely prefer Sheryl's songs to Lacus' stuff. I hope Sheryl climbs up the popularity poll and gives C.C. and Kallen a run for their money. She deserves to be up there. ^_^

I loved C.C. from the minute she actually showed up - I was so relieved that she wasn't some sort of token TEH REI, some typical mysterious moe anime girl. She comes across as really well-developed for a female anime character, especially since the mecha genre... isn't exactly the most kind to female characters. She's a wonderful example of a strong female character who doesn't have to be a sword-wielding amazon to come across as in charge.

Kallen's grown on me, though. Before last season's finale, I was pretty disappointed in her - I thought she was nothing but some token kick-ass female who nonetheless needs to be saved by the men, and needs direction from the men, and constantly gives fanservice. I thought she was everything I hate about "strong" anime females. I'm so amazingly glad to have changed my opinion about her. From the season finale onwards, she's felt much more dynamic to me - her loyalty to Zero feels less of a gimmick, and she seems to think for herself a little more. She seems more genuinely strong of a character.

I wouldn't even have thought of her as main, TBH. I'm not sure who I would call the main female of 00 -Marina, maybe-, but... yeah, I'm really surprised. It's not that I dislike her, just that I hadn't considered her as that much of a crucial character, and most of the others are the leading ladies of their respective shows.

I agree with most of your points. However, I would love Kallen a lot more if her fanservices were a lot less -___-" It seems to be increased each ep, though.
