Seeing as how Britannia occupies North and South America, do you think that Britannians living in the area can speak French, Portugeuse, Spanish, etc.? (theoretically)

And also, if Britannia occupies the Americas, do you think they have Hawaii too? Because Hawaii rocks.

I'm guessing Britannian English is the standard.
If someone wishes to do business with the EU, most likely they can learn it.

They most likely conquered Hawaii, they have a military base in the Phillipines.

What I want to know is if Australia is neutral then are the natives running it? If not. Who? WHOOOOO?

&i think it's a requirement that conquered/non-English speaking people learn uh English since they've been taken over. Though I wouldn't put it past some Britannians to pick up the language of their new land.

nope. i thought they could only speak french/portuguese/spanish because they were colonies of the european countries? so if that never happened (i doubt britannia would let the other european countries take over the world with them), then the language would have never passed on.

i'm wondering if the indians in the chinese federation speak chinese or indian, really XD

While we're on the topic of languages, what do the people in the EU speak? Is there one standard language or do all the countries/states still retain their own languge?

Version one:
The colonization of the new continent was pretty much the same - European counties, including Spain, Portugal, France and Britannia make colonies.
Later Britannia unites all colonies under the Empire rule. However, many europeans still speak their own languages. They slowly merge with the ruling society, leading to certain level of symbiosis of european and britannic culture (cuisine, theater, etc.). In a few generations the european languages may be second to most of the citizens, if not a history. Of course, some resistance is also possible, if not unavoidable.

Version two:
Britannia monopolizes the colonization (somehow). From the beginning Britannic is the language of the colonies. European languages are spoken only in Europe and Europe's colonies in Africa and Mediterranean.

And about the diplomats - even if they speak more than one language it's a common sense to have interpreters. One interpreter gives more time to think - something vital to any negotiations.

I bet many Britannians are multilingual, especially those who are assigned to different "areas". Though I see English, since it's quite a very common language, as their mother tongue.

In Philippine history, the Spanish conquerors learned the country's dialects in order to colonize the natives, but they never taught them Spanish for fear of the Filipinos learning their secrets and rising up against them.

Hawaii could be of some use to the Britannian Empire. Perhaps they colonized it too, but we can't be too sure. I mean, for example, in the map of Britannia with all the arrows pointing to its colonies, one arrow points to the Philippines, so it's assumed that they're also part of the empire. But in one episode, they mentioned expanding there. (I blame poking around Wikipedia for this)

...off-topic, but I really want to know the number given to the Philippines. I know, I know, I'm being quite patriotic. XD

It's quite interesting for me, how and when China and EU occupied Mother Russia. This thing seems really unbelievable for me. I DEMAND RUSSIA IN CG!
