According to this report, Ookouichi Ichirou said on a Newtype interview that he finished writing the script for Code Geass R2, and also said it wasn't going to have a continuation or a partial end, but a definitive the end, fin, etc.
Anyone has source on this?

Ending each episode on a cliffhanger is a horrible way to keep an audience.

Probably not...

Short answer: they can't and the ending will be a hodgepode cram of epic WTF

If not, maybe if we complain enough they'll grace us with a movie or something.
But I'm still hoping it ends well...

Minor stand off between Suzaku and Lelouch as well. Then a mech will break it.

Well, so far, I watched until ep 10, and I think that they're still working on some climax/suspense episodes (gah, 13 seemed like a big ep).
I would also love to have a second ep of Code Geass (well, depends on how well they'll do the whole thing), so that I can watch more Lulu x C.C., hehehehe. ^w^. If they're going to end it in 13 eps time (which I don't think they have much time), then it better be good, or better, great~
Let's just hope it'll be great, and if it continues, well, let's hope it's even better! ^o^

This is a great show and all, but yeah, an R3 would seem a bit....excessive. Unless it was all about the cult because the Brittanian empire (or the OotBK) was/were squashed like bugs...maybe that'd be interesting lol
let it end

Anyway, I'm not sure why everyone's surprised by this news since CG was meant to be a 50-episode series from the start. According to magazine episode summaries, it sounds like the mysteries of the Geass power will be explained in episode 15, giving them time to prepare for the finale. In any case, if they're going to expound on the Geass universe in any way after R2, it would be in the form of Picture Dramas and SE.

Well, I think everyone is surprised because there's a bunch of things to happen on the plot for mere 13 episodes or so, which is around 1/4 of the planned.

Because waiting for each episode is a b**** ~_~

Could be a better alternative than a let down ending though. We shall see.

If they make Lelouch die, swear to God, I'll be screaming profanities at the screen, along with mentions on how much of a Death Note rip off that was. They'd better not do that. Well, I'm really hoping...
And Rolo, my love... I'm always wondering how he'll meet his bitter end. Because obviously he will. ):
If only Lelouch could triumph over Britannia and Rolo would survive and be his queen...*sighs*XDI think it's apparent to me that Britannia is going down. I mean, all the Darwinist philosophy with "the survival of the fittest" thing, you know they're the bad guys, and they're gonna get drowned. But I really don't think Sunrise will give us a happy ending, though. At the very most, a bittersweet, sad-ish one. You know, with C.C being the only one alive after it all, narrating.(This is why I don't think C.C will perish or anything; we need a narrator)
I'm afraid. Very afraid. xD; But I'm ready. I think.
