I read (though it might just be speculation) that it has something to do with his KMF's abilities. Apparently, its claw-like thing is actually a drill (yeah, I dunno how that works), and it possibly drains energy from whatever it's drilling into?

His KMF has the ability to drain the energy of his opponent. Kinda like what a vampire does when sucking blood from his victim.
