Oh hay guys, it's me again. <:D
The death of V.V.
We did not expect it. Well, I didn't anyway. Just goes to show, that even when you're immortal, you're not safe. Anything and everything can and will be taken away from you at any point in time. *sighs* Vuitsu...
Yeah. I think we all had established the misconception that V.V was Charles's puppet master, and Curly was Fivehead's little love toy. But damnit. Charlie is the real evil one. Never would have guessed. ):This makes me go "Noooooooooooooo!", because V.V is supposed to be Goddddd. And seme. D: I hate you Sunrise. And I believe they were even trying to lead us on to think that seme!V.V was the case, but lookie here at episode 15. DENIED. (Also, I think it's almost safe to say that V.V did not actually kill Marianne [unless he did it so Charles couldn't do anything bad to her, but that's a little extreme, haha...]), but it makes me wonder why he was freaking out when everyone was saying her name. Stupid Sunrise. I see what you did there. Tricking us into thinking he killed Marianne out of jealousy because of his extreme brother-complex of epic proportions, and then totally confusing us by using a single sentence uttered by C.C ):) In fact, I half expected this last episode to contain Charles being, "OH MY GOD, SON. SAVE ME FROM YOUR PEDO UNCLE. HE'S CRAZY AND HE WON'T STOP TOUCHING ME!!!!!", and then V.V would come out all regenerated and being his typical orgasm-inducing lolishota self, with C.C on his arm, and be all, "Haha, I have your bitch! Oh yeah, btw, you just got PUNK'D! >:D" (And just admit it, you. Some hot, sadistic V.VxC.C romance would have been x1000000000000000000000000000000 sexier than that creepy CurlyxC.C tango. Oh God, I can see V.V holding C.C like that right now, his hair all magical and everywhere with sparkles all around them. SUNRISE NEEDS TO DIE, SRSLY. ;______________; WHY DID THEY NOT DO THIS. I HAVE TO DRAW NOW...and slaughter something. )));)
Okay, back to my reasons of posting (God, I get off track with my ramblings too easy D: Sorry). V.V gave Charlie his Geass, yes, of course, duh.
But who gave V.V a Geass? C.C couldn't have. She would be long gone, if that was the case. But who...? Obviously someone who hasn't been mentioned on the show as of yet.
Also:

(Both Windows Media Player and VLC are faggots when it comes to screencapping, so was forced to rape
inulovinkit of her cap. He screenshot reviews always make me smile. Sorry for totally stealing. xD; Forgive me?)
Flames, blood.. children. Eerie. This wouldn't happen to be V.V getting rid of his contractor, would it? That was my first thought. Then that means he really rushed to make a contract with Curly after receiving his giver powers.
Another thing: What was V.V's Geass? And what circumstances made him accept the contract?
And why did Charles get his "Rewriting Memories" one? Was their past traumatizing? Orphans, maybe? There's a castle right there, and their outfits say "royal children". But what's up with all that burning flames and stuff?
I don't know if this will EVER be explained, considering it's a bit odd to inject information about a character's past, episodes AFTER they die. But since V.V's death scene was so unawesome (they didn't even up-close for him giving his last breath, or his eyes closing or anything. Fail, Sunrise. D:) maybe they'll revive him?
...Or maybe not. D:
Maybe they'll explain it when they go over Charlie's past. Or maybe Sunrise'll be a fag and just expect us to not care.
But in the mean time, what's your guess? (YES, THERE MUST BE A THREAD ABOUT EVERY LITTLE UNANSWERED QUESTION-DETAIL. No, but seriously, I found this confusing and I want to discuss [and I wanted to talk about V.V in general, too, because he's one sexy (dead D:) shota]) I hope I don't sound too retarded here.
V.V discussion, go go go. :D

D: I agree entirely. Why did they have to kill him? Uncool.
I still have hope that we'll find out more about V.V. even though he's dead. I mean, he's Charles' twin and also the one who gave him his Geass, right? So based on that train of thought and that Charles is still a very important character, as they explain how Charles came to be what he is today they'll probably throw in some stuff about V.V. too. Twins tend to come as packaged deals.
I think you may be right about their past being traumatizing and that's why Charles has the "Rewriting" Geass. C.C. wanted to be loved so she had a Geass that made her loved. Lelouch wanted to change the world so he got a Geass that allowed him to change parts of the world(people, basically) to do his bidding.
D: More backstory, Sunrise! Don't let our brain busting be for nothing!

Onto the point, as of right now it's kind of obvious we don't know who gave him his powers, and who that person was and how they "died". Since this is nearby a castle of some sort... and from what I've heard through the grapevine is that this is probably all the other siblings they killed off or something. I DON'T KNOW, UGHHHH.
V.V.'s wish is probably to kill the Gods just like his brother? I don't know, I'm losing my train of thought again.
But, if we're going to get anything more on Rolo, Marianne, C.C., and V.V.: they'll probably wait until the last moment to fill in all these things and rush it in some way. I really want to know more myself but for now they're going to be all D'AWWWWW WE LOVE MESSING WITH YOUR HEADS. WE THE GREAT SUNRISE.

Yes. Ih8u Sunrise. D:
I want my Fivehead-tan back. >:

Not a great many animes will leave antagonists that dangerous alive, especially when said anime has as many powerful antagonists as Geass does. They're going to have to start eliminating the ones that will die, and I'm a little surprised that they haven't eliminated more thus far, honestly. By Sunrise standards, I'd say that they've been downright merciful. Even as powerful as V.V. is, it would have seemed strange writing for him to get as thoroughly defeated as he was in 14 and then to come back at full power again - dying or being seriously incapacitated seemed to be the most likely fate for him, at least, in my opinion, otherwise it would risk making him a cheaply repetitive antagonist or keep the situation too stagnant. By giving Charles the immortality and removing V.V., but also incapacitating C.C., it keeps roughly the same balance of power while still changing it up enough that it presents a different situation for the characters to deal with.
V.V. didn't really stand much of a chance of being a final boss, either, with the likes of Charles and Suzaku to contend with. V.V.'s connection to Lelouch is tenuous and second-hand at best, and for him to have survived until the end would likely have only confused the issue of who the main enemies were. Lelouch's personal revenge and vendettas have always been the driving force behind his fight - the antagonists who survive to the end will have to be characters with personal enough ties to Lelouch for it to matter, and V.V. simply couldn't offer that.
I'm particularly curious about that scene myself, however. I'm not sure if they'll ever revisit it, but what intrigues me the most is what I see to be a Lelouch and Nunnally comparison. I find it interesting that rather than deepen the similarities between Lelouch and his father, they instead chose to make Charles the younger sibling.

Thinking about the puppetmaster again, I'm not so sure, they were more like a team. I don't know about 'slay the gods' 'cos, so many theories~, but, meanwhile, I'm not even sure V.V. died. (I AM, but I don't want to believe it). In the end, I think most of V.V. will be left aside and ignored OR he will turn into the new Clovis, death but still developing his character! I hope for the later.
(no subject)
Yeah, that's the best we can hope for, I suppose.

I had read somewhere that the fight for the throne (with Charles on top at the end) was particularly bloody and violent. No idea if it's official.
it's a bit odd to inject information about a character's past, episodes AFTER they die.
Sunrise did it for Meer in GSD, but let us never speak of that series again. *cough* >_>
Or maybe Sunrise'll be a fag and just expect us to not care.
For the general public, probably. But, some of the more insightful/backstory bits of season one were explored in the sound and picture dramas, so I'm hoping (hoping) that side materials will explore stuff like this in greater detail.
V.V. is a bit removed from Lelouch for me to really speculate on his former geass. But this puzzles me a bit: Charles obviously wants Lelouch alive and at full power. V.V. wanted Lelouch dead. Maybe V.V. didn't want to bring about Ragnarok by the end? So what's with all the crap he pulled in season one? Why did he save Lelouch from death-by-Hadron cannons? Argh. Stage 19 makes as little sense as ever. -_-
(no subject)
Maybe he wanted 2 codes from CC and VV to be able to do the Ragnarok across the world thing, maybe 1 code isnt enough for it and it was originally gonna be charles and VV using it but after VV lied to him or whatever Chales decided "meh ill take his code AND CCs and do it myself cos only i dont lie"

Meh, I thought that Sunrise just didn't expect us to care. I think Charles killed him to keep him from talking about something. (I have my own theory that V.V. gave Nunnally a lie detector geass or something, and Charles killed him to shut him up before he could talk about it.)
(no subject)
I have no theories...I just want some details, Sunrise! >:0
(no subject)
Oh yes. He's one sexy shota, dead or alive.
I don't think the cap you included is V.V. getting rid of his contractor. There's just too many blood and too many things being burnt at once, unless he has a lot of contractors. Which, really, I don't think is possible? DX
I was wondering whether Charles and V.V. were actually blood brothers. If this has been answered before, forgive me. I'm a little lost these days, what with the epic Turn 15 and everything.
I'm hoping Sunrise will revive V.V., but I think it's kind of unlikely. Besides, Charles has already obtained immortality; what would he need V.V. for? Unless Sunrise throws in a sudden twist, something like V.V. coming back
for revenge. It was a little heart-wrenching for me when C.C. was all, "You liked Marianne, didn't you, V.V.?" I was wondering whether this 'like' she mentioned was... you know. Romantic likey-likey or just... friendship, which is weird in a sense.Great, Sunrise. Just another way to keep your watchers interested. They really should give more background story. DX
