Bahhh I'm still waiting for mine. So gutted that the drama CD doesn't have the Japanese track, WTF. I feel cheated but whatever, I found it cheap.
Also, do the DVDs have the picture dramas on? Thanks for posting the pictures!

On the drama CD- yeah me too. I'm not a dub person so I was just noerrrrr. But ah well. I figure I'll just eventually buy the JPN release of the drama CD later when I have more money. >>

I haven't watched my DVDs yet but on the back of them it says "Picture Drama Episode" so there is a picture drama on each DVD.

I'm not a dub person either, I just can't stand JYB as Lelouch, it's the only thing that really irks me. I don't get why they had to dub drama CDs! Ohh you're good for buying them, I'll make do with the mp3s. >.>

I preordered mine and it's being shipped to my house, but I'm away till August 17th so I still have to wait awhile. >.< Nice to know that they did a good job with the release. (And since they didn't add the Japanese tracks or image songs to the Drama cd, I don't feel so bad about having them on my computer. :D)

I totally am. I've been eying the Limited Edition since they announced it.

I'm not sure which is right though. I looked it on Best Buy (their price seems to be less than Amazon's, even if its only by $1), its the box set right? Part 1?

Its says it comes with 4 discs, so I'm not sure.

The 4 discs means the 2 DVDs, the OST and then the Drama CD. (That's kinda funny I bought mine at rightstuf, Amazon's price to their's is 1$ lower, and Best Buy's price is a dollar under Amazon's... xD)

Okay....going against what everyone here is saying, I actually hope someone posts at least one of the dub drama tracks. I'd like to see how they handled it, since as far as I know this is one of the first (if not THE first) Japanese anime drama track to be dubbed in English.

I'm not usually a dub person *shudder* but...I actually don't mind this one *shrug*

I'm pretty angry about the sound episode butchering. They said it was supposed to be the original Japanese with translations. I was so thrilled when I heard that, now I find out it's a dub. And they don't even have character songs? Waste of space. Maybe I'll sell it then. Or just not buy this and wait until they release a complete box set for the whole series.

Yeahhh. I'm kinda over it now b/c what can we do? I was hoping they would give us both if they were even going to make a dub version but eh. They even have a dub availible for the Picture Drama too which surprised me since it used to be that the extras for anime were kinda not even bothered with if they were even included for a US release.

yeah, i feel bad cause i linked to a convention post saying that bandai said it was the original japanese a few months back. i wonder when they changed it. i know most people like the character songs and are fans of the original seiyuu.

It's a damn shame they didn't use the CLAMP art. Though it might not have been possible, assuming the japanese release has more discs, hence bigger box. I suppose this is more inline with what tey figure american fans would expect for a case of a mecha series. This box looks so generic in comparison though with it's straight from NewType artwork. I suppose it could be worse and be a photoshop nightmare like some. At least it's well constructed and not the cheap kind like some I have. Though I couldn't care less about artboxes and still rue the day ADV came up with them as yet another way to milk something. I miss the days when a box was meant to hold complete sets, not as a gimmick with one disc sao that your DVD look pretty on the shelf and to tease completests like me.

Oh well. I'll be getting it for the manga and OST anyway. That's at least worth the added price, unlike cardboard, no matter how pretty.

Have you tested out your DVDs yet?
With the news from animeonDVD, it would be nice to know if not all boxsets will be defective.

Yupppp. The first one plays perfectly, the extras too. But it turns out my 2nd DVD had tons of glitches and the 9th episode won't play all the way. My manga also had a printing error where 16 pages were the same as the 16 pages before it; so I sent it to bandai as I bought from rightstuf.
I've yet to hear of anyone mentioning that their boxset isn't defective... (least from forums or in the comm. Hmmm.)
