Hey guys. Let's talk about cults.
So, I am kind of a dumbass and completely baffled by this Geass cult thing. What...exactly does it do? So far as I could tell it is more or less a place where they obtain kids and raise them with Geasses... But, where do they get the kids? And, where do they get the Geasses?
See, after the events of the last two episodes, I was under the impression that to get a Geass someone had to give it to you, and that person only had one to give. (ie: CC's nun could give her a Geass, but would have to wait until CC died to give out a second...) Am I completely wrong here? Because I am wondering, when they were killing up the Geass cult people, all we saw were scientists and children--no one who was giving out Geass.
So: do 'initials' actually have the power to give Geasses to as many people as they want (implying all those kids got their Geass from VV)? or were the kids engineered in some way so that they were born with Geass? or are letters D through U hanging around somewhere waiting for their kids to die or kill them (implying that Lelouch's plan was not half as successful as he thought)?
I realize I am probably going to be jossed on this tonight when the next ep comes out but for now, any clarification you can give me is appreciated by this (sadly unobservant!) viewer.

Re: TIS A SPOILER IF YOU HAVENT SEEN 16!!
Definitely, the Geass seems to be determined from a person's deepest desire... CC felt worthless and unloved, and her Geass charms people. Lelouch felt utterly powerless, and his Geass makes anyone follow his orders. It makes me wonder what Charles wanted to give him the power to affect memories... Anyhow, yes, with that in mind, (or even without that in mind) I would be quite surprised if Charles were to give out Geass willy-nilly--he is far too cagey a guy to do anything that could potentially go against his plans (which is sort of why I am wondering if/when he is going to do something about Jeremiah--if he hasn't already. That call last ep seemed kinda suspicious to me, but then again, I should just wait for next ep...)
I did not think that people with a code could be affected by Geass. I know that Lelouch can't use his on CC, and I sure -thought- that Lelouch tried and failed at using it on VV, but now that I think of it, I am not sure that they ever met face to face. Either way, I figured Charles was just faking it... Mmm, gotta rewatch to see if his eyes were glowy.
The scar on CC's breast, but what about the thing that pops up on her forehead every so often?haha, you preemptively answered my question :) The boobscar is definitely something. But it did seem odd for all the flashback people to have head-codes, but not Charles... Maybe the forehead thing is just like...something that all people with codes have and just sort of lights up every so often (a "dark mark," if you want to Potterize it?)VV is dead, it's confirmed on the official (japanese) website. It was pretty anticlimactic, I thought. I dunno if it is just a red herring to have it on the site (since if =I= was Lelouch--or Rolo, for that matter--I would've taken VV home with me), but... :/
Oh yes, code!CC's wish was to die. but girl!CC's wish was to be loved, so I wondered if that trumped code!CC's desire--if, just because she was sick of living, that didn't mean she didn't want to be loved. Maybe I watch too many sappy shows with the POWER OF FRIENDSHIP!11one, I dunno /o/
17, please clear some of this up (or at least have Kallen get inside a mech or something, since her being captured is boring)
