When do we get a new Counterattack or Rebellion?

When we find scans, the translators translate and we get off our lazy butts to edit. Next will probably be the next rebellion, I cant remember seeing the raws for counterattack *sigh* will have to get lost on the chinese boards again soon.
Time wise? No idea. Raws are monthly but.

hmm, we haven't seen Counterattack phase2 yet, not even in the chinese forum...
but yes, rebellion ch4 and 5 are out...

Yeah I know Rebellion has up to 5 and left off at a good cliffhanger, but I'm more interested in Counterattack since I think it's done better, in both the art and the emotional investment. Counterattack gives me a better appreciation of Suzaku. Actually the manga in general makes me enjoy Suzaku a lot more than the anime. I think it's because neither manga is focusing on a slew of characters yet, and I prefer just a select few to a full cast. I wouldn't mind some Euphie or Cornelia in the manga, but I could do without the student body.

actually i like counterattack better, as well :P
but i haven't seen that anywhere... ;_;

and i guess i know what you mean by "a selected few"...the characterization would be better/more in-depth ^^

and by the way, i'm translating the 4th chapter right now... will hopefully be finished by tomorrow :P

I agree with you, Suzaku is more interesting in the manga than in the anime (well, I like him in both ^^; ). Also the Counterattack looks a bit different from Rebellion, I like it better as well.

But I have a question since I am quite ignorant on this kind of things: why do they put out different stories of the manga version? I don't get if they are totally different stories or just special chapters of one.
Sorry for the dumb question but it is not still very clear to me! T_T It is a bit confusing!

Simply, they can make more money this way.
I guess you could say that they want to focus on different characters or different styles of writing. To tell the story from both Lelouch and Suzaku's point of view.
But personaly I think they're doing it because they can and because they can make more money this way.

The raws for Suzaku's aren't monthly ^^;; But the issue of the magazine with chapter two was released a few days ago.
