So Yasumi Con was last weekend, and if you don't know what that is, just know it's the most awesome grouping of freeloading anime fans in the Orange-ful state of Florida.
I was fully expecting to be the only geass cosplayer, but to my delight there were a whole eight others dressed from this wonderfully over-the-top series. The list is as such:
-Season 1 Zero
-R2 Zero
-Ashford Uniform Lelouch
-Restraining Suit C.C.
-R2 C.C.
-Art Book C.C.
-...Al Queda Kallen
-Mao
(Apparently Youtube has decided embedded videos don't exist, so the links will be under the videos)

...If one character beating up another counts as a spoiler, and you don't like those, then don't click, k?
Everyone else: guess who beats up who~
And I was Retro!Suzaku in his 80's coat. I didn't have his glasses, but I lifted my mom's closest pair and it seemed to work as a temporary fix. And before you say it, my wig needs trimming. (Actually, a lot of my costume needs adjustment, and I'm fully aware of it.)
On to teh funny...
Kallen Vs. Suzaku Action!
(Because I know you don't want to read all of this to get to the best stuff.)
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=Er4TSFQtteU
This is the most popular of my clips, and it's really no wonder why. I utterly enjoyed going *Splat!* on the floor, and she obviously enjoyed throwing me around. We ran through it twice before this filming and through the remaineder of the con she came back twice to do it again. Evidently, it's fun to shove people to the floor.
That doesn't mean I didn't get my turn, though.
Suzaku Vs. Zero Acti-Wait, wtf is he doing?!
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=hMG0fujMDow
And the second leaves all the Lulu/C.C. fans sighing in relief.

I've gotten a few comments saying we should have gone faster on these, but I have a very good reason why it's slower than reality. Because I'm a shodan and thereby used to having my ass handed to me for the fun of it and a random cosplayer at a convention may or may not have this same experience, I played it safe and had Randy, a kyu from my style, throw me to the floor with the most difficult-to-land-nicely of the take-downs to see how hard Zero's landing might be.
It knocked my wig off and left my back aching. It was not soft carpet, apparently. So when I did the technique to Zero, I let him guide himself down with minimal urging. I like my fellow CG cosplayers and I want them to come back for more cons. Crippling them for a ten second video does not seem worth it; sorry, ya'll.
Pictures!~

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told this C.C. was the host of a yaoi panel and an active SuzaLulu shipper. Makes me wonder why this picture is PG...
Dude! Look at his face! How Mao is that?!

Now, what prompted this? I pulled out my camera, asked for a picture, and when he went to pose, I said, "Do something Mao!"
So he immediately turned and pounced the C.C.

Why C.C. went to Kallen for help, we'll never know.
For the record, the Mao had his MP3 player with him and the track that was playing was C.C.'s voice saying, "Mao, Mao, Mao..." Hardcore, man.

This is the hold Suzaku had on Zero back in stage 18. Clearly, it looks cleaner when you're not trying to be nice to the uke, and when you're drawn so physics aren't actually involved.
The best part of this picture is C.C. walking away in the background~
Courtesy of Hales:
"C.C. DAMNIT, HELP ME!"
"Can't... getting Pizza."

Neku stole my coat and glasses... And somehow got 'is arm under the backstrap. Nobody has yet figured out how.
You said you were here, You cosplayer, you! Come find me!~~~

Black Queen and Black Knight, if you can't tell.
Product placement Ftw!

Dominoes Fail. (And seriously, those boxes really do fail.) Suzaku needs to join the rebellion already, if only so he can enjoy the wonders that are Pizza Hutt logos inserted in the backgrounds of his scenes.

Less steroids, Suzaku.

White Knight and Black Knight. More awesome product placement.

Tug of Lelouch!
...C.C. totally looks, like, "Alright, I'll take him if it's easy." Oh, C.C. The sheer level of boredom you have reached...
There are more pictures to be laughed at (Mostly on the second page) here at my photobucket: http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a158/chibi_xandra/Yasumi08/
And I would like to thank all the wonderful cosplayers who put up with my insane obnoxiousness! I'm sorry for dragging you away from your Artist Alley tables and Para Para dancing and pulling you off the modern art sculptures, but I hope you had fun and these pictures make up for some of the hassle! ^_^'''
Enjoy! Hope ya'll are more amused than not and have a happy the-rest-of-your-summer! ^_^

Is that better? Sorry about that. ^_^''

That Kallen was totally fabulous though, and looks painfully familiar. And. The Mao scares the crap out of me. Very fitting, A+~

LOL.

"A Dominoes box."
"Why? It's not Pizza Hut."
"CC has the Pizza Hut. I'm not with the rebellion, remember?"
"Oooh..."
*Hangs head* I get reject pizza. (But that was the point of the picture.)
And there is nothing wrong with being gentle. ...But if I get Randy to cosplay Gino, we will be a lot more rough and we'll prolly laugh our asses off in the middle of techniques just 'cause.
And I'd totally tomanagi his ass into a wall.
(no subject)
Just don't be too rough with him or he'll make THE FACE at you.(no subject)

I wish there had been more CG fans around, but we were a rare breed, unfortunately. Being IC isn't half as much fun without fans to spy on you... *Pouts*

I'm hoping now that Geass is on Adult Swim it'll get more of the attention it deserves. When I go to Naka Con this year I'm totally keeping an eye out for Geass cosplayers.

She got out of me that Lulu had to kill her, she got out of me that there was geass involved, but I wouldn't tell her how it all happened because I think the episode could explain it better than me.
But at the last minute on Saturday night, I screamed across the 'cafeteria' to her, "Remember the term 'Euphinator!' You'll get it really soon!" And the R2 geass fans I was talking to just about died laughing~
