I saw it selling at the Best Buy and I was wondering if it was just the English Version because it says that it has the 24 ep. of season 1 because I really like the Japanese Voices better.
So, if anyone out there would like to help me out with this perplexing question
Thanks

...I doubt you would find something like that at Best Buy. They don't sell imported dvds, only the english releases. But...idk.

But if by chance it is really there then it must be all in Japanese. :|

Well, I guess you would find it, since it's Bandai's new thing to sell sub only DVDs (like with GL). But I don't think they've released a DVD with episode 23.

It should state whether or not it does on the back. There should be a little audio section at says english 1.5 (or something), japanese, etc. And english subtitles... Or if the box set cover doesn't have it, then you could ask a person who works there. They should have this type of info on the computer...

As stated above, US DVDs tend to have both audio tracks. However, that's really odd that it has 24 episodes since only two DVDs are released. Was it the box to hold all the episodes once released, or a bootleg? (weird you'd find that at Best Buy though).

But yeah, the back of the DVD should give you all the information on audio/subtitles and running time.

I saw that DVD somewhere too (could of sworn it was Akadot) and was totally confused because I didn't think they aired all the English S1 episodes yet...but it said all 24 english episodes o_O

This misconception probably comes from Best Buy's ad, which lists Code Geass part 1 as something like (I kid you not) "season four, 24 episodes." Um, yes, that's an error. Right now, only the first 8 episodes of season 1 are out on DVD, and that's what you would find at Best Buy (despite what their ad says). As with most U.S. releases, the DVDs have both English and Japanese language options with English subtitles.

The DVDs have both English and Japanese audio. I can't even think of one anime series these days that is released without the original Japanese audio included . . . unless you're counting the crap 4-Kids puts out. But I don't think anyone does; it's good for one's health to pretend 4-Kids doesn't exist. XP
