For:
tungwene on
cg_flashfic, who requested Ougi/Villetta.
Comments: "Boy," you say, "I sure would like some Ougi/Villetta."
"How convenient," I say. "I have it right here."
"Is it good?" you say.
"To be honest with you - and I feel I can be honest with you - I'm not especially satisfied," I say.
"Then why did you post it up?" you say.
"I just sort of wanted to be done," I say.
"You always give up so early. This is why your first marriage failed," you say.
"What? I've never been married," I say.
"Oh," you say.
And then things are awkward between us.
Summary: Seventeen years and seventeen miles from where it started, they meet again.
( It's not too late. You can still look
On the red towers of your mother Sodom,
On the square where you sang and spun,
On the barren windows of the home
Where you bore your dear husband children... )
