WHUT?

After all that, he just kills Charles that easily? And how did Nunally get under Marianne if she was killed by V.V. and not even there when she died? And way to go, Lulu--just do to everyone else to do exactly what you're father was threatening to do: force them to accept the world as you make it. Through Geass.

Uh, yeah.

Oh, and

ALL HAIL LELOUCH!

I kept wondering that myself. Imagine someone trying to lay Nunnally down and then wrap her dead mother's arms around her.

Exactly what I was thinking. :/ (But then again, we've put up with worse, so I'm willing to go along with it. :P)

First of all...

This episode was awesome. It's official Charles and Marianne are the WORST PARENTS EVA'! Lelouch becoming emperor was epic, but at the same time I think it was too soon. My reason for this that Schneizel is still alive and kicking and he going to do something to make Lelouch fail. At the end of the episode when chibi Gino and Suzaku appeared on the screen the captions were saying that in the next episode Schneizel was going to build something that can counter(or destroy Geass). This has me worried ... alot considering that he turned the Black Knights against him! So Lelouch isn't out of the woods just yet!

I wish that episode 22 would hurry up and get here because I really want to know what happens. I want to know how the Black Knights and everyone are taking it. I got my fill of LuluSuza lovin'. I want some LuluxC.C. lovin' now! I wonder how Lulu is going to make C.C happy?

going on page 5 now so chances are slim i will get an answer, BUT:

now that events have transpired and the epic win has sunk in, i DO have one gripe.

i think the matter of nunnally was handled rather poorly. first of all, we can agree she was lelouch's motivation for most of the series, yes? and after her death, his one goal was to kill the emperor, yes? this is accomplished now, so why is it suddenly his duty to become emperor? is the series running on pure lulz now?

also HOW were lelouch (who killed euphemia with geass) and suzaku (who killed nunnally with freia) able to put aside their differences?

i guess both deaths could be explained rationally, and neither was truly responsible or had any malicious intent but are we supposed to just buy that they worked things out off screen?

"yes." oh.

I assume Lulu became Emperor so he could... make the world better? I've got no idea...

I also find his and Suzaku's sudden reconciliation a bit hard to swallow... I hope there's some explanation... but I kinda doubt it at this point.

The episode wasn't BAD, per se... but my immediate reaction a big, fat "WHUT."

On the plus side, at least Charles' plan was interesting/original... might've been better if they'd spent more than a single episode on resolving it, though... the series kinda feels all over the place, with two seperate plots: Lulu's mission to destroy the empire, Suzaku's opposing mission to rise up and change it from the inside (which made me start watching)... and then this whole Geass thing and Charles' big plan, which they probably should've spent more time on..

It's even a little hard to believe that this was all planned out from the start.

i guess you haven't watched neon genesis evangelion? cause charles's plan basically = gendo's instrumentality plan. D: but at least it didn't end the same way.

He acknowledged in one of the episodes before Nunnaly's death that is was no longer about just Nunally- he is likely doing the things he is doing for the reasons he stated in this very episode. Suzaku mentioned Nunally as an excuse and he said he was doing his things for ALL the people he wanted to protect. This is more proof it's not just about Nunnaly- it was a hard lesson for Lelouch to learn but he did.

Kallen and C.C. and everyone he has learned to care for are important. And about the solving of differences- don't you think there'd be a reason for that to work out? It's not one of the things that's never solved but instead something we're going to learn later that would likely spoil everything or that makes us ASK those questions. Besides everything has built up to an eventual forgiveness. Shirley brings it up, they've gone through this issue together, and Lelouch doesn't want to lose anything else. I think it can be simply explained and it likely will. :)

>>>also HOW were lelouch (who killed euphemia with geass) and suzaku (who killed nunnally with freia) able to put aside their differences?

There was a one month time skip between their confrontation and revealing themselves to the world. So I guess they used that one month to reconcile.

My mind in the gutter thinks of SuzaLulu + LuluSuza action with some C.C thrown in...

One, wasn't Suzaku ready to kill Lelouch for being Euphy's murderer?

Two, was it just me or did anyone just keel over and died of laughter when they saw Suzaku's smirk when he came out of nowhere and stand in front of Lelouch?

Three, where are C.C.'s cool clothes?
Date/Time: 2008-09-01 02:04 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] inulovinkit.livejournal.com
Suzaku's probably thinking, "Knight of Zero. Take THAT Bismark."
Date/Time: 2008-09-01 04:39 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] anubuko.livejournal.com
Well Suzaku was sorta all 'I'm gonna take revenge now' after Charles and Marianne poofed but then Lelouch was all 'So what? >:|' so I'm guessing Suzaku realized revenge wasn't really the answer? -specualting-

I was close to dying of laughter but it's the closest thing Suzaku's made to a smile compared to the other episodes. xD; I think he's smiling for other reasons too-- -shot-

I think so it's easier for the animator? Like with the school uniforms.

I still think the whole Ragnarok thing was Instrumentality for Geass, just repackaged with different words...

I would rant, but now's not the time.

But the last 10 minutes did make me fangasm.

HARD xD

This episode was way better than Turn 20 and I can't wait till Turn 22. So, I guess, now Lelouch is going to go against Schneizel.

Charles' plan reminded me about the Instrumentality Project from Evangelion with everyone becoming one and all.

I felt that Marianne's "assassination" was kind of anti-climatic. I guess I was hoping for something different. Oh well, it was not that bad. Also, how did they put Nunnaly under the dead Marianne? That was not really explained right.

V.V. using a machine gun made me LOL.

And Lelouch has the worst parents ever.

I'm worried because it seemed like Schneizel was siding with the Black Knights. Since Lelouch dubbed himself as the new emperor of Britannia, by default, doesn't he put himself against the Black Knights (a powerful group established by none other than himself)?

So now basically Lelouch has Suzaku and a bunch of puppets who can't do crap with their own will. Oh and C.C.

Someone sure looks happy. :'D -shot- I'm still sorta 'yeah that was awesome wait wtf just happened' but HEY LOOK SUZAKU'S HAPPY AGAIN.

.. Sorta. -rolls-

I doubt this ALL HAIL LELOUCH crap will last long. Still 4 episodes left to go, it can get sour. Also concerned about Suzaku's sudden shift in alliances. Wtf is a Knight of Zero? Bleh, Sunrise more explaining plz.

Though I loved Lelouch in this episode.
