The status of Odysseus and company is rather perplexing. Maybe Lelouch evacuated the palace figuring this might happen? Or maybe Sunrise just forgot.

Diethard's position is equally perplexing.

I'm guessing its more like they won't update it until its confirmed, meaning not till after ep 23. It is rather annoying though >:[
