HAY GUYS

I've only recently joined this community, and I've been in lurk-mode until now. I'm a big Geass fan obviously, following it since the first season in 2006. I've always been eh when it comes to Livejournal fan communities, but I came here after R2 21 just to see what the shitstorm would look like. After spending some time here, I realized this place...wasn't so bad. XD

Our trainwreck is almost over, as everything is FINALLY coming to a head, so I thought I'd post my thoughts so I'd have a place to just THROW THEM SOMEWHERE. That sounded like an intro, but I hope it isn't an "intro post". My apologies to the mod of the community if it is. I hope it isn't 'random breathless fannage", either. <.<




Closing in on R2 24 in a few days, I honestly have no idea what to expect. Never have I anticipated what will happen next in a series. Good expectations or bad expectations, it has everyone talking. People are analyzing stuff like future episode guides, 'gumlines', previews, everything to try and get a clue as to what might possibly go down.

My favorite character is CC, and I really want her to have a happy ending. Unfortunatley, I don't think she's going to get one. Still, I'm holding out hope because she's had deathflags around her throughout ALL of R2. She's lived for so long, but at the same time she hasn't really "lived". I'm holding out hope that her true wish is to be happy, and Lelouch will grant her that wish. Sadly, I see Lelouch revealing her name as she dies. Or she dies and he'll give an inner monalogue beginning with, "Her name was ____". Bah. There's so many pizzas out there that she's yet to try. ;_;


CC aside, I've been noticing little clues that might provide something for the big picture. Since looking back, it was the little things that always added up to the plot twists.

-Lelouch clutching his chest made me go back to Rolo, and how he overused his Geass. Could that be the eventual fate of Lelouch?

- CC's name. I kept replaying episode 11 of season one, trying to get a feel for what he could be possibly saying. One of the possible names I came up with? Nunally. BEAR WITH ME HERE, K? It matched up to the syllables, and when we got a glimpse of CC's past, we saw her and Marianne. Could it be that Marianne named her child after CC? Still, it's highly unlikely. Anyone else have an idea as to what it may be? I may be antipating the revealation of her name more than what happens between Lelouch and Schnizel. XD

- Lelouch is the 99th Emperor. Too me, that just seems like an odd number. I have a gut feeling something is going to happen that will lead to a new and symbolic 100th Emperor at the end of the series. Possibly Nunally or Cornellia. Who knows?

- 24 will most likely NOT be the true "final episode", based on the guide descriptions. A lot of people have assumed 25 would just be one big epilogue. Still, it's strongly possibly half of it might be. The "Goodbye Lelouch, Farewell Suzaku" things may just be Sunrise screwing with us as usual. They've done it with the previews AND the guides after all. The R2 24 preview shows a lot happening, but does it really show EVERYTHING happening and ending? I think it's a strong possibility that the perverbial shit hits the fan throughout 24.

- The "Lelouch, you don't hate me?" line. Judging from the R2 24 preview coupled with the fact that there's NOT ENOUGH LEFT, I think there's the obvious chance that it's going to be Kallen who says it. What happens between Kallen and Lelouch in the preview worries me. It's obvious that Suzaku and Kallen will fight. My bet is that CC intervines and talks some sense into her. I'm hoping that's what happens, as I don't want Kallen to die. Anyone else think otherwise about the line?

- Who do YOU think is going to die? I'm curious as to everyone's death/safe list. I've seen so many published lately, that I can't even form my own opinion anymore. XD

So in closing, I hope this was ok. I just really wanted to know what you guys thought of the few topics I brought up. There really isn't much time anymore to get my ideas out there.

Now, couple things :O
- About Lelouch; I think the heart-clutching was just him saying that it felt painful to have to lie to and face down his sister like that, and not something to do with Geass. With the case or Rolo I think that it was just because when he used his Geass to stop time, his heart stopped as well, which is ultimately what did him in D: Unless your meaning was just, in some way would overuse of his Geass be Lelouch's downfall? Charles was using his Geass for a pretty long time and did, ur, okay-ish, I think it really depends on the type of Geass a person has as to whether overusing it will really screw them over later.

-Cornelia as the 100th Emperor, do you think she's gonna come back then? I mean it wouldn't be the first time Sunrise has pulled something like that (lol Nunally) but it seems kinda unlikely at this stage. THOUGH I WOULD LOVE HER TO UOVDG

-RIVALZ, MILLY, TAMAKI AND ARTHUR TO SURVIVE. Everyone else could easily die!

Haha, I'm in the boat of people who assume that Cornelia somehow survies. Not just based on her being "gunned down" and not killed, but I'm seriously hoping that the character chart was updated and she's still alive. ;_;

Ahhaah, I'd love to see Lelouch and CC happy and alive together, but I fear they have missed their last chance in Ep. 21, when Lelouch took over the Empire with his Geass. From that point on, it's a one way street to self destruction on both Lulu and Suzaku side, it seems.
CC just stands by and waits, since that's essentialy her historical role, but we all know how special is Lelouch for her and how she went against her former goals because of Lelouch. I'm sadly persuaded that CC will die, but.. well, if that implies that she therefore gives her code to Lelouch, I'll be very disappointed. I don't want to believe she'd make Lelouch endure alone a life he has hated to the point of considering death as a supreme blessing . è.é!
And I bet CC's name will remain a mystery.

- The "Lelouch Hate Me" line.
I'm missing the reference, but Nunnaly was my first instinct..° °

One silly - but maybe not - thing I was thinking right yesterday is ...
..does anyone remember the Geass Lelouch imposed on Kami-sama/Jupiter/World0fC/whatever...?

wonder if this plot will be used in the next episode as a supreme unexpected element like the Mt Fuji exploding, FREJA all over, a lot of mess.. and suddendly.. POFF! everything fine again because Kami-sama was Geassed to stop the end of the World XD
Sounds crack enough... but also a lot like Code Geass.

Another theory of mine is that, unless they are accurately spot out with a shot from a gun (and that won't happen, since they are all disarmed and surrounded by Lelouch soldiers - brainless automas that won't ever take an initiative) we can consider safe the characters that are on board of the Avalon, (that is Cécile, Lloyd, Nina, Kaguya, Tianzi and the other nation leaders)as long as they stay there.
Why..? because Arthur the cat is on the very same ship and Sunrise it's not JK Rowling : they won't blast the pet =P

Another lurker here. And I didn't even know much about this series until about a month ago... ^^;

I think the "Lelouch hate me" line is CC, actually. You need to see the phrase in Japanese to get this but the way it's worded sounds specific to the way she usually talks. It sounds like she's telling Lelouch that she thought he hated her for giving him his Geass.

Some other random thoughts about the last two episodes... The "Zero Requiem" business makes me wonder if "Zero" will make one last appearance before the end. I have a feeling Jeremiah's Geass canceller will have some sort of role to play. And I agree that C.C. might die as part of Lelouch fulfilling his part of their "contract", but I'm not sure about him getting the Code as a result.

Overall, I'm enjoying the ride that is "Code Geass" :)

Seriously, I have no idea what CC's name is anymore. Dx First I thought Marianne for whatever reason (didn't check if the syllables match), but now it kinda seems... duh.
And I think 25 will be the last, too. Seeing the preview I can't see 24 like being the last one...

For who-dies... '-' Lelouch or Suzaku. Dx I don't want Lelouch to die but that's my fangirl side talking. I thought Nunnally was going to die first, but now, not so much. I don't think Kallen will die either. And Schneizel for me is already gone. 8D;

But we know at least one of our "golden trio" will die. I'm betting C.C., but since this IS sunrise, it's possible that all 3 of them kick the bucket.

About C.C.'s name: With all the Arthurian legends stuff going around, I thought her name was Morgaine la Fay. But with her "love me!" geass, maybe her name was Guinevere? Ah, I don't know. I just want it to be one of those two. :(

A little bit more of me died inside when I thought about Arthurian Legend. So, if we follow it...

CC(Morgaine Le Fay) has incest smex with Arthur and they have a child who eventually comes back and kills Arthur.

This would be symbolicly awesome IF.. there wasn't already a character named Arthur in Gayass. THE CAT!!!! (screams and jumps into brain bleach)

I for one am VERY curious about "Zero Requiem." It's a plan between Suzaku and Lelouch, a plan that actually persuaded stick-in-the-mud Suzaku to put aside his grievances and work for Lelouch. Pretty powerful. So I wonder what that's all about.

Considering it's entitled "Zero Requiem," though, I have a feeling that Lelouch, while planning to be victorious in whatever fashion he sees best for everyone (defeating Schnizel, making the world united against Zero, I have no clue), will not have a grand "happily ever after," living with Nunnally in a peaceful time, or whatever. I have a feeling he might become immortal by taking C.C.'s code . . . so he won't die . . . but for some reason, I can't see him being around in the "new world" to come after him. I see Nunnally being a part of that future Lelouch has reached for for so long, as the show basically started off with Lelouch's ideal for "Nunnally's world," i.e. a better world (so maybe she'll become the 100th "emperor?") . . . but not Lelouch. =/

Maybe Geass has wreaked my brain with it's "clap-on!" wall guns and it's glittery flying emperors . . . but I keep picturing Lelouch as this immortal being that everyone in the epilogue thinks is long dead, that Zero has been killed, and the world's all, "Let's be united like we were when we killed him, Y/Y?" . . . but, OH SNAP, he's really still alive, chilling in the shadows, like, "Ya done good, Nana-chan. Done good." XDDD Maybe whilst wearing a straw hat and sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow, singing "Sweet Home Alabama" all summer long~~

ANYWAY. What was it, ep. 24's title? The whole, "Saraba, Lelouch; Sayonara, Suzaku" thing still (even with my crazeh theories) has me quite worried . . . as they both mean "goodbye/farewell," but I read somewhere that the word used for Lelouch ("sabara") is usually only used when someone says goodbye permanently, as in, the person they're addressing is dying/is dead (or as I would theorize in Code Geass: ASSUMED dead =D ). Anyone who knows Japanese care to verify or correct this?
