After watching again episode 23 I noticed a thing...
If Nunally is a 'Lie detector' and obviously didn't trust Suzaku, Lelouch and Miss Rosmeyer
what ever her name is Why didn't she took Schneizel's hand to find out is he was telling the truth?Another loophole Sunrise?
(no subject)
Anyway, remember, people, that Scheizel badassery is blantant only for the all-knowing spectator. The characters don't know anything about his plans, just that he gots a powerfull nuclear bomb and a flying magicall castle. Before he fired the FREJA on Pendragon, even Lloyd and Cécile that are undoubthely smart and have worked for him for a while, only got suspicions on what he was up to.
He is always using the same scheme against Lelouch: Lelouch's intentions are not bad, but he uses lies and the Geass to manipulate people. Schneizel uses a sapiently accomodated truth to make people turn against Lelouch, basically using the things that Lelouch has actually done to his advantage. And the evidence of truth, even a half of it, is much more dangerous and effective than the best constructed lie.
It worked this way with Cornelia, the OotBK, and we might assume that it is so also for Nunnaly.
In a particular case, Lelouch did him a great favour, telling Suzaku that he intentionally caused the incident with Euphemia, while it's not true. Suzaku probably understood back there and surely know the truth now, CC too, but what about anyone else?
Schneizel himself has no reasons to not believe what Lelouch told Suzaku about Euphemia wasn't the truth. Cornelia wanted to believe it, since she's desperately craving revenge for her dear sister. And it was enough to make the indignation of his former japanese comrades surpass the gratitude for the goals they had achieved thanks to Zero's leading...
..bah, I've rambled.
The main point was, Nunnaly's truth detector is hardly a problem for Schneizel, since he's not holding her hand all the time, and at the point of telling her what would have surely turn her against her brother - that Lelouch was Zero, the Geass and so on- he didn't need to lie at all ^^;
