Just to spite me Ougi will sodding live (I've wanted him to die since S1 as I hate him more than I can describe) alongside Villetta who has become as dull as beans since getting together with the king of dull and carrying the dull spawn of their dull love. Everyone else will die and I will cry. Bad End.
I'll fucking rage if Kallen dies, but the kiss scene was a massive death flag so it's possible. Somehow I don't think it's going to happen, though, I don't see Suzaku going so far as actually killing her- remember the promise he made to the council to help her out way back in episode 8? It's possible he'll have her on the ropes but hold back on killing her over that. And of course there's the whole fireworks thing from episode 7, we have a low enough body count among the council to pull that off. Hell, thinking about it, FIREWORKS END is fairly likely at this point considering who's still standing. But this is Geass, so you never know. Regardless, if Kallen dies I highly doubt it'll be by Suzaku's hand, and there's not much else still around that could kill her since Schneizel's been neutralized.
Nunnaly's probably safe, her fake-death makes for pretty good plot armor vs. real-death. And of course if we're going for FIREWORKS END that provides plot armor for the whole council, past and present- which is basically everyone who's still up there at the moment if you want to count Gino's brief tenure.
I'm honestly surprised at the low body count of the finale so far, period- I kinda figured the death rate would increase, but so far all they've killed is Diethard (whose death you could probably have seen coming since he joined the Knights.) Then again, maybe that's the idea, we go into the finale expecting the kill rate we've been getting over the battles of the past half season, and then they surprise us by not even killing the final boss.
Obviously Xing Ke is going to die (though probably in a 'x months/years later Tian Zi is standing over his grave' thing, not on-screen), but aside from that, I predict nobody else dropping. Though perhaps this prediction is more because that's what I want to happen.
He's still coughing blood, so I'm going to guess we're going to see Tian Zi standing over his grave in the inevitable 'x months/years later' segment at the end.
Xingke- finally taken by the blood-sickness Schniezel- yeah, he's geassed right now, but I think he'll die C.C.- Someone else can haz code? Nunnally- Sorry hon. You're done.
I'm really hoping Suzaku and Lelouch pull through, but who knows? ;_;
Massive fucking apocalypse, everyone important dies except Tamaki and Rivalz, sequel series is them traveling the lawless FLEIA-torn world in the motorcycle kicking asses. Maybe trying to find/rescue Milly who might also still be alive or something.
Probably Lelouch and Suzaku - why else would their plan be called "Zero Requiem"? They've thrown away all their chances at sympathy or redemption to achieve their nebulous plan, it's just a matter of who else gets to be collateral damage. Though Sunrise could cop out and let them live on as different identities.
If you take the charitable interpretation that they're purposely not telling people like Kallen and Gino about their true intentions to drive them away so they wouldn't become casualties, there may not even be any more deaths.
I would like to believe that Lelouch and Suzaku have grown enough to stop sacrificing unrelated lives for their own selfish ends. If the writers want to retain sympathy for them they have to prove that they are not as bad as Charles or Schneizel; while the audience may not care all that much about random faceless goons, the more sympathetic characters they kill the less chance they have of proving that Zero Requiem isn't just some madman's plot on the order of Ragnarok.
Like I said in my wall of text on page 2 that's longer than every other top-level reply here put together so far, that would be the twist, that we go into the final battle expecting an equal or higher kill rate than the previous battles and then they don't even kill off the final boss.
Seriously, nobody dying and FIREWORKS END would probably be the most interesting twist they could pull at this point, since it seems like they've gone out of their way to make it seem like that ending would be impossible to reach.
Riiiight, and your username is SO much better. You know, when I first saw it I thought it actually said "gay lord". But I guess that's what you want to be called, right? Gay Lord. :|
