People are saying it's a bad end because Lelouch died, but really the series was leading up to this moment. It's not unexpected. He made himself the world's enemy so that the "messiah" Zero could return and rid the world of a tyrant. The world is united and in peace. Nunnally will represent Britannia now and will ensure peace because she knows she must uphold her brother's wishes. It's Lelouch's atonement and redemption. Yeah, it's depressing as hell and I cried a ton but it's a fitting end to an awesome series.
