The real loser in all of this is Suzaku, he had to betray, kill and be alone forever. Poor boy.

As others have said, Nunnally knew everything in the end. She knows who Zero is. Suzaku is with her. Lelouch left his two special people to take care of each other. He may be an immortal zombie, but he's not alone. Besides if he gets really lonely for his cat, he can always put kitty ears on Schneizel.
