Alright, so I was just rewatching the end of turn 25...

When Lelouch puts his hand to Suzaku's mask and spreads blood on it, do you guys think it's possible that he showed Suzaku that he had code?
After I saw the end the first time, I was thinking that Lelouch is totally carriage man/paper crane, and if this is true, then he must have gained immortality.  So I'd imagine that code/geass is involved.

UH I'm really sorry if someone already brought this up, but I haven't seen it anywhere yet.
Just a thought.

Well, I don't think the Code is always on the hand :/ I was guessing that was just a Charles thing.

I also heard the theory that he got the Code -> RR (Rurushu aka Lelouch phonetically in Japanese) -> R2. But I have my doubts, I was just guessing CC was just talking to herself randomly again like she usually does, and never makes sense.

I just rewatched it after reading this post... His hand looks soaked in blood. Even if it was there, I doubt you could see it under all that red, since they did show us a little bit of his palm during that scene, all I could see was red.

Also "Lamperouge" or whatever his last name was, though before I read some other comments, I thought it was the double L/R in "Lelouch", too.

I hope Lelouch ended up as RR/R2 ;____;

I'm about half and half, to be completely honest.
I really WANT to think that he's alive, but yes, I have doubts.

One thing I really like about the end is that it's pretty open ended, so everyone is free to believe what they wish.

Yes, I was always under the impression that code is in a different place for everyone, but I guess it could be in the same place sometimes. I have my doubts that it's what happened, surely.

I also thought about the R2/RR thing when I first saw the name of the season, but doubts are surely had.

The great thing about the ending is that a lot of different theories aren't proven wrong, so people can choose to believe what they wish.

I was freaking out over the homolust combined with sadness, it was fantastic.

That's also what I first thought, and a large part of me still believes it. I don't think Lelouch would tell Suzaku because it would just make things more difficult.

Well, something about the code placement... the nun that gave C.C her code had her's on her head, and so does C.C, so I would think if Lelouch took Charles's code, he would also have the Geass symbol on his right hand.

I was sad that I had to leave /a/ early last night, as I had things to do. I really would have enjoyed watching and talking about it live.
It's the last Code Geass Sunday with an episode being released, and I'm sad.

I love the open ending, it leaves room for much speculation and uncertainty. It's just like Sunrise to leave things nice and unresolved.

It's certainly possible. My theory was always that code transfer didn't go through until the new bearer died (which is why CC was 'killed' in that one scene, and thus it's possible that he really *did* Geass Charles back then but it was all according to his keikaku) and thus it would turn out that he got Charles' Code somehow, which would allow for a fake death. When I saw Suzaku!Zero go for Lulu I was like "nooo- oh, wait, they're going to go with that twist" but then CC was alone in that last scene, so that pretty much kills that theory. Perhaps that was one last troll for the fans, that they get us expecting something like that and then go 'OH SNAP NO HAPPY END FOR LULU FOR YOU BITCHES'.

I am convinced that Sunrise can't kill major characters without leaving a little out somewhere half the time. I just keep thinking how it's just like the little streak of light in the end of CCA - absolutely meaningless, you have to be looking for an opportunity to deny the deaths... but it's there if you want it. xD

I think Lelouch is dead, and Lelouch is my favourite character, but it make so much more sense with everything else, the only sad thing was for me that he died surrounded by people who hated him.
I'm sure only few of them, Nunnally, Suzaku, Kallen, actually felt sad and cried for him.
Also if he was going to survive, the scene with C.C praying and looking sad while Suzaku was running and killing lelouch wouldn't have had any reason to exist, he was going to survive right? She could have been hidden somewhere and definitely not so sad and worried as if she just knew what was going to happen...
But that's my idea...

I'm a Lelouch is alive believer, possible or not I like to think about it. I like to think that CC addressed that last line to Lelouch/driver, that he gained immortality and kept his promise.
Still I'll let him slip away if his death is confirmed, his death was so intense but at the same time he realized everything. He will now able to rejoice with his lost beloved ones... ;__;
