When you edit an entry, above the "Disable Auto-Formatting" button.. there is a tab that says HTML and Rich text.

Click on rich text. Hover the mouse over the buttons that appear on the toolbar.

It will ask you "Cut Link Text?" You can just type "Episode 14 Spoilers" or something.

Then cut and paste what you typed (after removing the coding you tried earlier) into the gray area, where it says, "Type your cut contest here."

Then click preview to make sure it is cut.

That's it.

but ya her memory of him got erased totally which... isnt entirely wise of lelouch cus ppl in school would think it weird for shirley to not know lulu at all... and the way lulu is trying to cover it up... doesnt seem to work in the long term =/

Its not a spoiler to me but now it just shows up bright white and bold. My background is a dark pink.

Please just use an LJ Cut.

I'm not entirely sure why you seem so hell-bent on defending this, but thats up to you.

Using lj-cuts is a basic LJ practice. Spoilers especially are supposed to go behind cuts.

They are in the FAQs and many people have mentioned how to do it. They're not hard.

I know that had I not seen ep 14 yet, I would be furious. Luckily for me, I have, however, a lot of people have not yet seen it and that is a very big spoiler.

Just so you know... If someone is looking at the community through their friends list, and their journal background is dark, the spoiler text just shows up brighter than it did initially.

in html mode :3 it doesnt work in the rich text mode. rich text = u see the various buttons above the text area that allows u to edit ur text. for html mode there's almost no buttons to help u, u hv to type in everything.

Everyone has already said this for you. Just replace [] with <>. Simple?

Rich Text - There is a button on the bar that clearly says LJ Cut. You click this button and it asks you what title you want. Fill in your title and a gray bar on your entry shows up. Write your spoiler in that gray area. Also childishly simple.

Please ADD in your changes. Don't show off your stupidity.

Geez go easy on this person. They obviously didnt know about a LJcut (and personally it doesn't work for me I have no clue as to why, I do it the same way the FAQ does it... says its an invalid character..). Newbies don't know everything. Just point them in the right direction without calling them stupid. It's not that hard. Just take it easy okay? :)
