not quite a meme, but this image has been circulated here and there long before the airing of R2 turn 25.

we all know jeremiah's character is dictated by the fanbase (it was his popularity that brought him back from the dead and elevated his role from a minor character to the orange-kun we know today). what i'm asking is if you think the studio saw that first image of jeremiah somewhere and decided to work it into the ending as a nod to the fans?

Jeremiah went from going ballistic at the mention of his nickname to taking pride in it and calling it the color of his loyalty. By the same token, he ended up on an Orange farm of his own free will, even though he once considered it the most humiliating possible punishment. It's beautiful and one of the best side plots in R2, even if it was all fan driven :).
