Undecided but only due to inconsistencies in dealing with C.C. While I want Lelouch to be alive because I love him too much, I want to be careful about cheapening his death and above all else, fucking up Suzaku's life for no reason.

I'm leaning towards 'alive' because of Mythology Kink: immortality+mind control+hay wain=CADMUS AND HARMONIA, BITCHEZ. The only difference is that Lelouch didn't turn into a snake.

Also, the whole Nunnally mind-meld thing. And C.C.'s talking. And denial. IT IS A GOOD MIX.

I don't see why having to hide forever lest the entire point of the exercise be lost is any less of a sacrifice than dying, honestly.

Think is different than want, though. I don't put importance in Lelouch being dead or alive, but I'm leaning in the camp that he's alive, just because of the tease put in this episode. If anything, they purposefully make it so that fans can believe any way they like.

I agree! I thought the ending was perfect as is. Sad, yes, but also happy in a lot of ways. I don't think people should be disappointed or say the ending sucks just because he died. I think it's a much more powerful ending that way.

Too many signs point to him being alive in my opinion. In general, it's pretty ambiguous, but all questions about his death make it seem like he is alive.

I believe Sunrise intended it to be open-ended, considering how they left sufficient evidence to support either theory. Ultimately it's really just what we choose to believe. At the moment, I remain undecided.

If he stayed dead, then his sacrifice will take on a higher level of meaning because of his martyrdom. Also, it won't seem as though Suzaku got the shitty end of the deal.

On the other hand, if he survived, his sacrifice is still very great, considering how he chose to ruin his reputation for the world's better future. Besides, I'd like to think that Zerozaku spends his holidays with Lelouch in a shack on Jeremiah's orange farm. 8D
