code_geass ◾ ◾ Your Live Action Cast Choice

PREMISE: You have obtained a Geass of Absolute Obedience with no usage limit, but you can only use it for orders related to the making of a Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion live action series. Who do you cast, code_geass?

Some time ago someone made a live action casting thread for Code Geass down at /a/. Predictably some are troll ideas but some of the choices were good. So I ran away with the idea and picked some of my own dream cast... Agree? Disagree? More suggestions are surely welcome! I don't even have a C.C. yet!

Gaspard Ulliel as Lelouch vi Britannia
If you can play a cannibalistic murderer, you can play a high school student that conquers the world. Although... can we still have Luluko? ---> GEASS EYE GASPARD

Keisuke Katou as Suzaku Kururugi
Suzaku needs someone with a range to cover the many ___zakus that we see throughout Geass. Keisuke plays a rude dude in Kamen Rider Kiva but he's always laughing in interviews. Plus, with his tokusatsu background maybe he can spinkick?

Anna Tsuchiya as Kallen Kouzuki
This Russo-Japanese can pass as pure Britannian at school. Her fiery image fits Kallen quite well, too.

Dakota Blue Richards as Nunnally vi Britannia
Gotta admit I don't know a lot of actresses that age, but Dakota looks alright: frail enough to make you want to protect her, but can exude strength if needed.

Skandar Keynes as Rolo Lamperouge
At first I thought of him as Lelouch, but though he's the right age for season 1 Lelouch, he looks too young still... so, the other Lamperouge boy it is.

Shougo Suzuki as Toudou
Shougo Suzuki as Kyoushirou Toudou
His bone structure, suitable age and stage presence when playing Zaraki in Rock Musical Bleach are what make him my choice.

Aaron Eckhart as Diethard Reid
...it's the chin :P. Though Eckhart might have to turn off his on-screen charisma a bit to play our opportunistic media-man.

Priyanka Chopra as Lakshata Chawla
I confess: I search for Lakshata's actor by going through the list of Indian actresses in Wikipedia and click names that sound familiar. This former Miss World was picked because of her eyebrows. She seems like she can look good being bored for the most part of her screentime.

Manabu Katou as Tamaki
Manabu "Gaku" Katou as Shinichirou Tamaki
I was browsing my Bleach Musical folder for a picture of Shougo Suzuki when I saw Gaku's picture... and laughed. Too long to explain the in-joke, but he won't have a problem portraying our loud, obnoxious and frequently-bullied self-proclaimed best friend of Zero.

Takeshi Kaneshiro as Li Xingke
I will accept NO other; just look at that picture!

Tamaki Matsumoto as the Tianzi
Don't fix what's not broken; conveniently, the Tianzi's seiyuu is a cute actress despite not being Chinese. Sure she's 9 and Tianzi's supposed to be 13, but blame the character design for making Tianzi look like she's 9.

Sara Paxton as Milly Ashford
Paxton reminds me of a younger Reese Witherspoon, while Milly's career debut reminds me somewhat of Legally Blonde.

Emma Roberts as Shirley Fenette
The girl-next-door type of beauty.

Alexis Bledel as Euphemia li Britannia
A girlish type of beauty for classic-princess-type Euphy.

Kate Beckinsale as Cornelia li Britannia
Pretty straightforward choice--someone beautiful but can still look like she can kick your ass hard.

Troy Baker as Schneizel el Britannia
I considered a few big names, but after seeing a few pictures of Schneizel's American VA, I thought, "Hey, why don't we give this guy a chance?" He's also taller than the Canon actor so it works. A little doubt though: Schneizel needs to 'subdue' Cornelia and Canon, which I'm not sure he can. (If not, let's dump that other guy and give him Guilford.)

David Tennant as Lloyd Asplund
Doctor Who as Doctor Pudding--why not? Tennant sure can make a lot of interesting faces, as Lloyd does.

Cillian Murphy as Canon Maldini

Y'know, all this time I was never sure that Villetta is black, unlike say, Dorothea. So Dawson's mixed look works for me. Ougi, that lucky bastard.
