Thank you again! In case others are interested, I added the answers to the post:
1. What language are the Sound Episodes in? I gather that originally it was announced that it would be in Japanese, but later that it would be dubbed. So is it dub-only? Yes, dub only.
2. Does Part 1 come with what in Japan was both Sound Episodes I and II? (Since there will only be 3 LE releases, and there were 6 Sound Episodes in Japan, how are they going to fit them all otherwise?) Yes, it has the sound dramas from Sound Episodes 1 and 2, 6 stages total.
3. I read somewhere that they ditched the image songs. Is that true? Yes. :(
4. Is the OST substantially the same as the Japanese release? Any songs missing? They're the same.

1. The Sound Episodes are all in English (only option); they come in a CD case with an illustration of C.C., Lelouch and Suzaku in Ashford PE uniforms (Lelouch is trying to hide C.C. behind a bush before Suzaku can see her). It contains the first six Sound Episodes (Stages 9.725, 12.55, 0.515, 9.258, 14.821 & 0.521).
2. Hm, I'm not really sure what you mean here; the beginning six Sound Episodes are included in a separate CD from the DVDs - they're all there. As for Picture Dramas, DVD Volume 1 comes with the first Picture Drama, and Volume 2 come with the next two.
3. I don't know what the image songs are. If you could explain them to me, I could probably give you an answer.
4. I don't have the Japanese OST, but there are 22 tracks on the CD. ALI PROJECT's ending song is the TV Version, so it's cut rather short (you only get what you hear after the episode), and COLOURS by FLOW is not included. Stories by Hitomi is on there in it's complete form, though. If you would like a listing of the tracks, just ask.
I hope I was of some help. If you have any questions, or want more details, I would be happy to help some more.

For the Sound Episodes, in Japan there were 3 stages per disc, for a total of 6 discs. So that's what I meant by whether they would could fit all 6 Sound Episodes in 3 LE releases. Also, each Sound Episode in Japan came with an image song, which is a song sung by a character's voice actor and kind of reflecting their personality. The characters in season 1 were C.C., Lelouch, Shirley, Kallen, Milly, and Nunnally. I like them, but I guess I'm not surprised they're not included in the Bandai release.
The OST sounds like it's the same. The Japanese OST also only has 22 tracks, with a TV version of the ALI PROJECT song and no version of COLOURS.

1. They are all in English.
2. Only dramas from Sound Episodes 1 & 2 are included, yep. The next LE box is due to be released in December will also contain Sound Episodes (at least, according to the listing at Play-Asia). My guess is that it will contain 3 and 4, and the last box will contain 5 and 6.
3. Yep, no songs for the first box.
4. I have the Japanese OST and it's the same. The English OST comes with romaji and translations of the songs.
