Ooh, interesting! Is she supposed to be, what, preternaturally talented, or just very perceptive (can sense a lie from the temperature/clamminess of your hand, etc.)?

She picked up the skill to make up for her blind and cripple state. She also has very good hearing skills, able to discern the general weight and stride of someone walking up to her(in the anime she could tell Arthur had a lame foot; in the manga she explicitly states she can identify Lelouch's footsteps from everyone else's).
