Umm... failed fanart?

Well, this is officially going to be my first (and most likely last?) contribution to this community... in the form of drawing at least. I'm right now in the middle of attempting to finish CG fic... and currently it's not going anywhere with that...

In any case, hope you enjoy the drawing I did and comments and criticism are most welcomed! The more criticism I get the better actually... since right now I totally failed at drawing Lulu... >___< Gomen Lulu!






Hmmm, so the story was that  despite my good judgement, my curiosity won out... so I decided to draw Lelouch after 2 years of absence from drawing


In any case, here goes nothing:

Well, personally I'm not much of an artist (since I have zero imagination in terms of drawing) and thus I pride myself at being able to draw as close as to the original... sadly enough I completely fail... T-T Don't you think that Lulu's hair totally off? And don't even start on that left eye of his... =___=;

Oh and on a side note, before I added his hair, I decided to check if Lelouch at least looked OK upside down (well, that's how I check how proportional my drawing is...) and guess what I realized? He looks kinda like Suzaku upside-down...

 Yeap, there's something terribly wrong with my drawing... but I decided to ignore it... and continued on... FYI, if you flip the finished picture upside down, it'll look like Suzu with longer hair as well... ^___^;;


I guess it's what they call two-in-one? Sa... ma ne... >__>;; 

Well, don't be shy, just bash me with harsh criticism since I deserve them... ^-^

Yep :3 As for constructive criticism, I will suggest maybe making the top of his head a little less flat, k? :3

... yeah, maybe it's a bit too flat... but I kinda tried to make it less flat... and it looked like he was wearing a helmet... =___=;; Ah well, a lesson to be learned I suppose... I usually just don't fix my drawing and just jolt down a note at the back of the paper on the mistakes/things that I can do to improve it so that the next time I'm drawing I can make it better. Thanks for the comment!

I tried to draw him and Suzaku SO many times, but I just can't draw Lulu's eyes and Suzaku's hair! :/
It sucks...

Thanks! Well, I didn't trace it, that's for sure. (and personally, it's still light years away from the original... totally can't do CLAMP's art justice...)

But yeah, I was actually having that same problem myself. My idea was to make Lulu to give off this more arrogant feeling than smug... =___=;; but since I drew his eyes weird... well, now he doesn't look that arrogant...

oh and his hair's definitely the hardest to draw for me... it gave me so much problem (from being too big like a helmet to too flat... and it's still too flat now too! T-T) that I had to fix it so many times and in the end I just gave up...

And in my opinion you did the eyes amazingly good!

lol, I can see you had problems with the hair. It's just so damn annoying the erasing and fixing and erasing again... I kno what you mean! :(
