What does the name Lelouch mean?

It sounds French in origin to me. Yet when I tried to look it up on baby names sites, it doesn't turn up anywhere. Is it a real name or is it just made up by the author of CG?

I've long suspected it was a a misspelling of LaRouche, as in Lyndon LaRouche, the conspiracy nut. He did have his fair share of anti-British theories...
