As I couldn't find the answer through tags or many entries back...(or maybe I suck at looking)
But does anyone know if there is a religion in the Code Geass world? If so, do we know the name of it?

This goes into our general lack of knowledge regarding Geassverse history. AFAIK, we pretty much only know:
- the ancient Britannians (Celts, I guess) repelled Caesar in Britain, so there was likely never the Roman province called "Britannia" (lol irony)
- the Tudors continued after Elizabeth I with at least Henry IX
- Napoleon was successful in kicking the Britannians out of the British Isles and whatever Continental possessions they had

If we use these paltry details to extrapolate things out...
- Christianity likely still existed, supported by the existence of nuns and churches like [livejournal.com profile] snowdevil_crow said. (Other major real-life religions probably also existed simply because it's easy to imagine how medieval Britannia would have had little effect on the rise of those religions.)
- If the Tudors existed, then Henry VIII existed. And if Henry VIII existed, then the Anglican (Britannian?) Church existed.

Of course, these are wildly-unsupported theories whose primary supporting arguments are "the show didn't say anything to the contrary lol". Also, butterfly flapping its wings, etc.
