How much is too much?

I don't know if its just me, but when it comes to reading doujins, I enjoy loves scenes that are romantic and passionate but I cannot stand lewedness and vulgarity. I bought a number of doujins over the last few months, some I like very much while others I kind of regret buying because I find them too graphic for my taste. I know everyone has different tastes and to each his own but am I alone in disliking graphic images of body fluids and people's lower regions? How much is too much for your taste? And yes, I'm talking about some CG doujins I've seen but my question can apply to doujins of any series as well. Just curious to know what people out there think.

About 99% of doujinshis are OOC anyway. It's pretty much going to be because they're not canon and none of the characters in them ever had sex to begin with (as far as we're told).

But that's not really the point of doujinshis. They're essentially porn and are meant to be seen as porn (though, I'm sure someone out there appreciates them as art or something). And we all know what porn is meant for...

Oh yea, I know. And I won't deny, seeing datass and Lelouch all over it is pretty hot. However, I'm anal and like to see the characters act somewhat like they would. And I think I've come across ONE LxC that is like that. Just makes me sad when I can find doujins of other pairings and they're still in character.

I can't read moonrunes anyway, so I usually don't know what they're saying in doujinshis. When I buy them, they're for the pretty, and not for the plot, lmao. Besides, I buy more yaoi doujinshis than hentai.

Compared to how much is out there for SuzaLulu or LuluC.C., I'd have to disagree. Those two pairings seem to be the staple.

I ship a lot of stuff, even some weird pairings (like how would RoloEuphie ever work, but I like it anyway and I wish there was more LuluMilly stuff) and really wish there was more of it, but as is usual for a series with a focus on certain characters, those get featured in doujinshis more than other characters.

As for the particular subject, i do wish there were more doujins out there, that are not just limited to hardcore porn {see Kallen and Shirley, i woul have preferred moar Kalulu/Shirlulu doujins} but well, i am prepared for it. It is like, lifetime knowledge. 90% of douins, are pure porn and i cannot complain for that, since the choice is up to the individual artist.

There are MANY kazero/kalulu doujin, but like the person who made this entry complain...it's usually adult doujin, Just like others pairings doujins. Kalulu lacks of arts but doujin...)

The Platinium soul one; One More chance; the one she made for the Kallen's anthology; The one about Turn 7; And I think there is even one as well featuring the picture drama where everyone is at beach. Or and there is one with CC and Kallen as the cover.
She is a doujinka, and a real one; There is as well Shion BTW, but her doujins are even harder to find that Lunatic's one u_u" You can only see samples on her blog and that's it :'P (She drew the artwork with Ashford Kallen and Emperor Lulu, if you don't see who she is)

Well, i still do not see much of it anyway. And they are always so hard to find, sure does not mean they do not exist, but what is the point? So, there are like 4 tasteful doujins, big deal. C.CxL and SuzaLulu, are like, light years ahead.

Which probably explains why most of mine either don't come with an R18 rating, or have very limited sexual content. There are some really good plot-driven stories out there if you look (and that's what you're into).

Also, I wouldn't characterize most of the ones I own as OOC ... if they were, I wouldn't be buying them XD

Doujinshis that aren't focused on the smut, meaning those that aren't R18 tend to have a bit more thought put into them aside from how to get the two (or more) characters to boink. But it sounds like the OP just purchased douijins without stopping to think what the material might be inside. In which case, it would've been easy if she had looked at what rating it was.

And you have to consider that most doujinshis aren't written by the original writers of CG, and thus will not know what the original artists had in mind. Therefore there will always be some elements that will be OOC. We can dream and hope and wish and believe all we want, but the fact comes down to Lelouch never had sex and never will have sex with any character in the series. >: That's kinda what happens when you're dead.

I've actually bought a gigantic LuluSuza doujin book called Re:Code that I thought was really IC. It's about 200 pages and only 6 pages of it have sex; the rest is about their relationship, and it's very subtle and good and believable.

Can you read the Japanese? If so, and you still thought that was IC, props to you.

But I'm under the firm belief that anything non-official is automatically OOC because it didn't happen in canon and wasn't written by the official writers. That's just my opinion, though, and it's coming from someone who RPs, writes fic, and also enjoys a lot of different pairings.
