I don't know if its just me, but when it comes to reading doujins, I enjoy loves scenes that are romantic and passionate but I cannot stand lewedness and vulgarity. I bought a number of doujins over the last few months, some I like very much while others I kind of regret buying because I find them too graphic for my taste. I know everyone has different tastes and to each his own but am I alone in disliking graphic images of body fluids and people's lower regions? How much is too much for your taste? And yes, I'm talking about some CG doujins I've seen but my question can apply to doujins of any series as well. Just curious to know what people out there think.

In terms of purchasing doujinshi, I'm with you. I love plot and characterization in anything I'm reading/watching so I tend toward the doujinshi which meet that criteria. I'm also really picky about what I buy, and tend to heavily investigate circles/books before purchasing. I don't mind adult content in my doujinshi, but not when it gets into pages of black bar censoring.
I find downloading to be a different case, just because you're not investing money into it and if you don't like it, you can just delete the files off your hard drive. And I think there's less of a guilt issue - my family is much more likely to pick a book off my shelf, and I don't want them finding anything unsavoury.

I don't think there are many "love" scenes that are romantic for my two CG pairings, so I might be biased.

Doujin
Re: Doujin
Re: Doujin
This is more of an open-ended question than anything that has to do with Code Geass. :/

Face it, doujinshi is doujinshi. Whether or not one is "tasteless" and "vulgar" can just as easily be ignored, so move onto the rest. Sure, some things can be a little graphic, but that is how it is, and how a doujinshi comes out depends upon the artist alone.

But that's not really the point of doujinshis. They're essentially porn and are meant to be seen as porn (though, I'm sure someone out there appreciates them as art or something). And we all know what porn is meant for...

I actually need graphical stuff in my H-doujins. Because, well... I want to know what characters feel, so I need to know what they do - the more, the better.
There are still a lot of kinks that (probably) never appeal to me, but I just ignore them enjoing the rest.
Hope my post does make sence. Not very good in English, sorry >_>

Since I only depend on free, shared doujins off the net to download, I must say that my stack of doujins are really limited and are mostly yaoi ones. At first I was all like O__O on the somewhat too graphical images, but you can always get used to it over time, plus there's the option of skipping through the pages containing such if you think those are too 'much' for you.
Also more than the love scenes, I take note of the art and the plot as an important matter. I don't care if they are somewhat OOC or not, as long as the art's good, then it's perfectly fine for me. It just disappoints me sometimes when I go read this certain doujin and find out that the art is very different from the original character design.

For me, I don't really like to see a lot of pornographic nastiness, and I also prefer it to be in-character. Sadly, the best Geass doujinshi I've seen to this date are the Knight/Queen anthologies, which are official. It doesn't help that I mostly look at Ougi/Villetta stuff, and I don't think I've found a single one that isn't sick and twisted. There was one I kinda liked though, because it at least had some semblance of plot, but it was also Diethard/Villetta, which I find kinda creepy.

And sometimes really bad yaoi.
But otherwise...I haven't had any problem. Even my R18 LuluShirley was actually really nice. Very plot-ish, surprisingly. Wonderful art...

And if the anatomy (especially certain body parts) are drawn poorly, it's a definite no-no...it really freaks me out...
Censoring bars are also something that I find unappealing. I mean, if you were a really good artist, you'd be able to censor stuff without black bars.

This. How I hate it when a character being turned into evil-psyho-rapist for no actual reason except author's wish to molest another character by his hands.
