Fine, then we can disregard the "Lelouch knew Suzaku better than Euphy" argument -- the point of this whole 'debate' was that Suzaku loving Euphemia meant that he would or could never see anyone else in a romantic light and not SuzaLulu, which is a related, but ultimately different matter. Feel free to agree to disagree, but I'm not going to let you derail the argument. I've said what I wanted to say, and I believe I raise several valied points that are perhaps worth considering. My work here is done.

His initial reply was rude? It's just his opinion that it was a glitch, which is an opinion I know quite a few people share; you're free to think it's bullcrap, and have your reasons to think so, but surely it isn't inappropriate to voice such a doubt? And no, I did not encourage him to do it, and he did not do it with the intention of causing a stink. I just knew what would follow when he told me what he had done, and said, "LOL, you did what?"

Alright.

Ah, excuse me if someone jumps on me because i said tongue kiss, that is rather obvious, with a reply consisted of "O_o" = you are crazy pretty much, what you see is a GLITCH, please. Sure, a glitch that was fixed into more tongue on the blue-ray version, that had all the crappy artwork redone. So excuse me, that is not an opinion, staff made it clear, twice.

But a lot of people have not seen this blue-ray version, and just looking at the .gif above, you have to admit that there's room for interpretation.

Perhaps if you could upload a .gif of the blue-ray version, or point to the right direction to look it up, that would help settle things.

Lol, i am sorry but i am loling right now. Interpretation for what? That is a glitch? I mean, lol, honest people, there is tongue there, period. What kind of bull-glitch are people sprouting?
You know, you would think that staff, would pay attention to a kiss scene, of all scenes {since there is zoom} but no, people need more proof than the tongue itself there. Please, honest.
If certain people want to drive Kalulu fans to be all "wtf" so they can point out to them and say "look, look aggressive" then kudos. You could come up, with moar crazy theories, that discard themselves, since show presents exactly the opposite.

If you want to see it that way, feel free. <3

I would still like to see that blue-ray version.

I think it is rather obvious, that majority of LJ works like this. People are sprouting shit, even Kalulu ones, but the only getting blamed are the latter. Crazy i no rite?

And i feel like a perfect idiot, like a total idiot trying to prove that this is not an elephant-kiss, but w/e:

I was seriously expecting something more than this after you kept talking about the blu-ray version like that, but... umm. This looks just as badly-animated as the normal version.

Needless to say, NOT CONVINCED. And entirely not interested in discussing this any further, and not going to check the thread again. Case closed.

LMAO. XD

God, I feel relieved now! For a second there, I almost suspected you may have been right after all. XD
Date/Time: 2009-06-13 19:37 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] snoozy.livejournal.com
you know what, yeah it is a glitch. Actually, the directors intended to "trick" Kalulu fans, with all the material supporting that this kiss was mutual and passionate and blah blah. The tongue being there is nothing, yep, case closed.

And in all honestly, i did think that you actually might have been a kind and nice person, but after this dickery-smartassery reply, no, thank you. Especially after you made fun of my friend [livejournal.com profile] anaakin. Rest assured, we Kalulu are dick yes, not that the rest of you are any better though.

p.s yes, Suzalulu is SO canon, even though the staff never said anything about it, but well, it is all a glitch in this series, and only enlightened people get things, woah.

Now hold on a minute. You're being... well, wrong. On many different points.

One, I watched the clip too. How on earth could you tell if there was tongue or not? It's animation. And not that detailed animation, either (lol sunrise). Sure, it could have been a tongue kiss. And Rolo could have been screwing Lelouch on the side using his Geass (...*squees at the thought*). But can you prove it? Even going frame by frame, there is no way to prove that it's a tongue kiss, no one frame that goes, "Look, look right there, there's Lelouch/Kallen/whoever's tongue." (Or if there is, my aging eyes have missed it?) So maybe it was a tongue kiss. But you also have to consider the possibility that you are reading too much into it, and instead take it at face value.

Speaking as someone who can appreciate all pairings with all characters, I can see and understand the arguments for Lulu/Kallen. However, you cannot, or perhaps *should* not, use this kiss scene as proof for the end-all-be-all of their canon love.

Now, next point. You outright insulted yinake and had no reason to do so. She never made fun of your friend; in fact, the only interaction I can recall that those two had was when she was surprised when anaakin responded to one of her lj posts. You're taking a molehill and calling it a mountain, and not just a mountain, but a dick and a smartass and a 'go burn in hell for saying my OTP isn't tongue-kiss canon'. I'm trying really hard not to completely take sides here, but that's just being mean. Yes, her reply was a little snarky, but the one right before it (that you posted) had its fair share of snark as well. Snark is not dickery.

I'm not saying other people in this same argument haven't been unreasonable as well (overusing the word 'dear' gets you nowhere and light novels aren't actually canon! *winces*), but you have to own up to the fact that you've taken a few things here too far.

P.S. Suzalulu is canon, just not in a romantic sense. Many shounen anime have this element as well. The problems arise when people (i.e. crazy fans) try to prove that it is indeed a ~*romantic*~ love. ^_^;

Now hold on a minute, are you kidding me? Honest, are you? Look, i am really having a hard time here, to see your "points" cause your points are SO out of planet {in relevance to what i "said"}, but whatever:

1 - There is TONGUE, what is this thing in Lelouch's mouth? A pink butterfly? GOD, when did i say that this kiss makes them canon? WHEN? I dare you to point out to me, when i said that. = you assuming things to make me seem like a BAD!!11 Kalulu fan, that "zomg kiss =canon" <====the kiss is the tip of the iceberg, there are other tons of evidences, that suggest that Kalulu is the closest to canon, but not crystal-canon. Never said that.

2 - Ahhhh, yinake was being ironic, totally. For a person, that the other day on another convo we had, admitted that "Kalulu is the closest to canon and i am willing to give it a chance give me fanfics" to go to "oh my god, you almost had me there, i though you were right //plain ironic" then excuse me, but i am not gonna play the polite-card, when she did not.
And ahhhhx2, i was not being to yinake "GTFP" hsfkjdshkfds, LOL, did you even read my posts, cause all i see is you assuming a MILLION of things, that actually do insult me, but i do not care, since i do not know you and do not really want to/plan to. I am not a person that is gonna be kawai-fake-polite to someone i do not know at all, if i do not receive the same courtesy.

So, next time, you want to jump in a post, assuming things and "blaming" the other one, according to your assuming-things, then excuse me, do it better, honest.

p.s what kind of canon are you talking about then if it not romantic love? Euphie/Suzu were canon, not Lelouch/Suzu. Lelouch and Suzaku were just best friends, staff stated that as well. But anyway, seem like staff's words are just idk, nothing nowadays.

and lol, ps your line of "you are being wrong on many points" apart from being...idk lol-ish, you should really read what posters say, before you say they were "wrong". Unless, your definition of "wrong" is assuming what people meant or said {not} and put them on this category. Yeah, "you are wrong!!111" such a nice way to start the reply to someone, lulz
Date/Time: 2009-06-15 21:25 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] destructo-bot.livejournal.com
Oh my dear sweet mother of Kamina! I was trying to be cordial. Why so defensive? It's not like I'm attacking you and calling you evil or anything. I was just trying to point out where you were being unreasonable.

(I know my first part of the post sounded awkward, but I recognize this too; the ellipses were there because I couldn't think of a better way to word it. Haha, vocabulary fail on my part.)

1.) A pink butterfly? I thought it was just the inside of his mouth. Sunrise = not the best animators in the world. Either way you can't prove that it's his tongue. (I still don't even see it and I've watched the Blu-ray clip. Eyesight fail?) D:

2.) I'm... having a hard time deciphering this (hi run-on sentences), but from the sound of it, you were angry at some things yinake said, and were offended by them, right? And when I said you should take it as snark and not be so serious about it, you took offense to that too. Okay, well, I guess the words didn't come out right in my post then, and I'm sorry if I inadvertently offended you. It was never my intention to offend anybody-- it never is (unless it's 4chan but that's a whole other story <3). I don't like offending people, so whenever I say something, it's pretty much never intended to offend. Well, unless they're being an idiot. Then I mock them. But you're not an idiot, just a fan who seems to be taking certain fandom aspects a bit too seriously. So... oh dear, what was I talking about again? Haha, scatterbrain. XD

I digress. I guess what I was trying to say was you jumped the gun on calling yinake a dick and a smartass, when it didn't seem to come off that way to me. But I guess I could be wrong; this is the internet, these are only words on a monitor, and there's no tone or body language to back up what is being said. Perhaps your interpretation was correct and she was being a smartass and just hating on Kalulu fans for the sake of hating on someone. I still don't see it that way, and I never will, but then again I'm the kind of loser who will always play devil's advocate to both sides in an argument. You know, "why can't we all just get along" and such. >_>

Now it's MY turn to take offense. Direct quoting here. "you assuming things to make me seem like a BAD!!11 Kalulu fan" <-- WHAT IS THIS? I mean really, WHAT IS THIS? What... I don't even understand... I mean what... I am just so wtf'd out right now. Why would I even do that? I was not assuming things to make you out to be a jerk, I was interpreting things that you said that made you sound like you were being a jerk. I can misinterpret if you can, and if I misinterpret something, I'm sorry, but I was not assuming anything. It has absolutely nothing to do with pairings either. You could be a Lulu/Rolo fan, a Lulu/Shirley fan, a Lulu/Kallen fan-- oh wait-- anyway my point is it has nothing to do with pairings. And you assuming that this is a Kalulu fan attack means YOU are doing at least some of the assuming here.

Okay, okay, done with that. *clears throat*

Also, the only reason I pointed out the "canon" aspect was because I knew there were so many other Lulu/Kallen moments in the show, I figured that you didn't need to make such a big deal over the possibility of that kiss scene being a requited tongue kiss. The fact that this big huge thread of comments arguing about the tongue possibility exists seems to point to that, and I was just saying that you don't need this "tongue" kiss scene to prove your point (i.e. Kalulu is pretty darn canon). In fact, I had it in my post before but I deleted it for aesthetic reasons: it was something along the lines of, "There are plenty of other moments scattered throughout both seasons that point to Kalulu just as well." Or something like that. I guess you're taking me too literally? What I was trying to say was there shouldn't need to be this big huge discussion about whether or not the kiss was tongue or not, because you're right, it IS just the tip of the iceberg. ^_^;

Oh dear, there's a character limit... continued in next post. @_@
Date/Time: 2009-06-15 21:26 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] destructo-bot.livejournal.com
Continued because I am, in fact, a loser.

...Okay, and finally, what, friends can't love each other? You know I'm talking about the deep kind of love that isn't about wanting to bang each other in the bedroom. I love my friends that way, and it's the kind of love that you see the two main male characters of many different shounen anime have (and where the yaoi fans get their pairings from when they put their goggles on). They loved each other, just not romantically. Kind of like... oh, good example, have you seen Nabari no Ou? (Took me a reeeeeal long time to pry off my yaoi goggles for that series. ^_^) Think Miharu and Yoite. Like THAT kind of love. <3

Oh geez, I wrote a whole essay here... why can't the words come this easily when I'm writing college essays? I should do all of my college essays on Code Geass from now on. XD

Anyway, *holds up peace sign* no hard feelings? Did we get everything straightened out? In an era where anime fans are still being looked on as the nerdy scum of young people's society, we Code Geass fanatics should stick together. :D

Rolo/Nunally icon because it's only "pairing" one I have. :T

will i be a bad person if i say, i kinda skimmed cause it is WAY tl;dr and it is night here? 8D

The only thing i got, is the Nabari comparison, which i do not agree, partly because the relation shops and charas are SO different. And Yih/Mih are shounen-ai, just not yaoi.
Anyway, sure, no hard feelings, despite of what it may come across, i am not that dick, lulz
Date/Time: 2009-06-15 23:36 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] destructo-bot.livejournal.com
Shounen-ai (gratuitous Japanese though it may be) is still romantic, though. Nabari no Ou is not (TECHNICALLY) a Boy's Love series, so it's not romantic love. It's still love, though. (Very, very, very... deep... love. But not romantic. Must... remember... that... they're not... gay... *twitches*)

Night time, huh? Well good night then. Try reading through my post (I mean if you want) when it's day time in your time zone. Which I guess would be night time in my time zone... hmm. But yeah. :D
