Other people's fanart.
You may post pictures and links, but if their site explicitly states to 'not post or reproduce', please adhere to their wishes. If they ask you to take a picture down, please do so.
I think fanartists that do not want promoted are in the minority, so not allowing any would be a loss for the community in general.
I deleted the previous post since it seemed like it would give the wrong impression to a casual reader.
Thanks.

If we never allowed any japanese fanart, it would be sad. I ♥ japanese fanart and doujinshi.

There have only been a handful of japanese fanart posts, so we'll leave it up to the discretion of the community members for now.

but if their site explicitly states to 'not post or reproduce is ok. I know this might sound stupid, but changing it the other way around (like "but if their site explicitly states it's ok to post or reproduce, then you can"). It's just to clear that up, because as it was said on the previous post, there are people that could say "well, I don't know japanese, so it's not my fault, they should have wrote it in english". It's just to clear that out! I can't really explain that well, because my english isn't really good...

"Using fanarts on other websites without permission is strictly prohibited" or something like that.
They usually have a link to http://www3.to/ofp/
Since the fanartist that wanted her art taken down was only one out of many, we'll keep the guidelines as they are.

As I said it's a useless thing but maybe it could be more clear that way ;_;" I'm saying this out of personal experience, but whenever I say something like "don't do it if they say they don't want to" people reply to me like "If it's not write in english it's ok, I couldn't know they didn't want to".
Hope it was clear what I meant this time! (not like you really need to change it, but I got the impression you got the wrong Idea, I don't support art theft, in fact, I hate it and I fight it everywhere I can ^^;)

whether the authors would like it, i mean.

I mean, I wouldn't even post a link, because I know there would be many arrogant fuckers who'd use it in an avatar/signature etc.
