Rumors and predictions

I whined about this on my personal journal, but then I figured it was more productive to come here for insight.

A couple months ago people were talking about rumors for a second season of Geass. They came along with a post on spoilers, which for the most part have proven true. It remains to be seen if their comments on Schniezel will be as accurate. But then the series appears to be moving more rapidly since Mao so technically it could work itself to a conclusion. I just worry about all the plot lines it has to solve: C.C., Suzaku's abilities, the Rebellion, Geass and Lelouch and who really killed Marianne. I also question the decision of the series to include two recaps for a 25 episode series.

Therefore, this post is twofold. Is the community more inclined to believe in a second season and what are our predictions for how the series will wrap things up?

EDIT: I found the post with all the rumors.

1 - 8 and 14 have occurred. 11 and 13 are also looking likely, with 15 referring to a potential season two. 9 has me completely stumped, especially with the events of episode 19. I'm also not the biggest fan of 12. As for the second set of spoilers, I'm both hoping 1 isn't and is true, as well as 4.

I´m inclined to think there will be a second season, There´s too much to wrap up in such a short while (and by looking at hwat we know of episode 20 and 21, that´s not happening)

About predictions: Although I pray for otherwise, I think suzaku will die, but only after he finds out who zero is and we find out why he has super strenght. The series probably will end with lelouch´s success(although he might die doing it)

I've read in a few places where people have said that "this is only the second coule" so I figure there should be a second season coming ^^;; I don't see Geass ending well in only a few more episodes.

I'm inclined to believe that the series ends with a character death *coughs* and though I'd hate it, that the main focus of the second season isn't going to be Lelouch anymore but that may just be me >_> From what I've gleaned of future eps, it's really building up, going to have a superficial "calm before the storm" and then explode everything in some sort of cliffhanger-y ending. Which will be fun, but it'd be hell if there wasn't a second season. Actually, it'd probably be kinda hellish even if there is one. ...I wonder if I'm even making sense, lol.

I heard of the 2nd season thing as well; and I personally would be looking forward to it. I admit I put it into a slight comparision of its "episode set up" with the obvious Gundam SEED/Destiny series; I liked it and its sequel a lot so if Code Geass has a 2nd series I will most certainly like it without doubt (...as I like Code Geass way more than Gundam SEED) but I do think it is possible for the series to reach a conclusion at 25 episodes and tie up a majourity of the plot lines or at least explain them to an extent that could be satisfying.

So I am inclined for a 2nd series; though while I see some plot lines being tied up I don't see them all being tied up or, or even I'd rather they not be "cleared up". Having things "spelled out" for me feels a bit cheap? I think the series will "do some things like that". I really hope Lelouch will "succeed"; and we get to see the reprocussions of his sucess as it would be an interesting spin but I have a feeling it's going to fall into some thing more ambiguous, the "way of life" sort of ending. ;_;

I was bungling around on Chinese forums last night, and judging by what Babelfish had to say, the 21st episode will be about a competition at school to make the largest pizza. So I sure as hell hope that there's a second season.

Hm, I see a second Britannian rebellion rising up from the Emperor's non-Lelouchian children. Operating on the assumption that Schneizel isn't just putting up a facade, and is genuinely a nice (if pragmatic and a bit "ends justify the means") sort of guy, then... well, the Emperor probably has some sort of mystical power associated with Geass ("power of the king," much?) or has been researching into it. Hence, investigating those archeological spots and invading other countries to get at them. It appears to me that Schneizel and Clovis were working on investigating those (hence Schneizel's "Clovis was better at this" or whatever when he and Lloyd are starting to check out that cave on the island)... and, apparently, they're keeping it sort of secret from daddy ("This is one he doesn't know about"). So, uh, my call is that there'll be some unification between the princes and princesses and Lelouch, or at least between Euphie and Lulu, and it will be against the Emperor.

... and then the Geass alien people will get involved somehow. Five-to-one odds that Stonehenge will show up somewhere and, well, I don't have a well-thought-out idea or anything, I just see "Cornelia is kinda crazy, but she's really a nice person. Schneizel is hot suave not so bad. Euphie is a good person. So unless the Emperor starts looking like a nice guy, there'll probably be some mass turning against him."

I think there is a very good chance of a second season to Code Geass cause it's got a good storyline that looks set to continue onward. Also a new season should be determined by the demand of the fanbase. Seeing the success the show has had, there's certainly a chance.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a second season.
But I still think the series will end with Lulu and Suzaku teaming up (via DESTINY style) by the end in some way or another, and I'm betting C.C. will die by the end too. There's no way she can make it.

At this point, there's gotta be a second season--they just haven't picked the pace up enough to really finish it in the next several episodes.

I don't have much in the way of concrete ideas about how it'll end, but I've had a few predictions for a while now:
* If any of the main human four (Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, and Euphemia) die, it'll be Suzaku. C.C.'s survival is up in the air, but I think it's more likely that she'll die than Lelouch.
* The power of the Geass will have a connection to Arthurian legend.
* Euphemia: next Empress of Britannia, but she'll have to lose a lot to get there.

More speculative:
* C.C. is the Lady of the Lake.
* C.C.'s people are something like the sidhe or Tuatha Dé Danaan of Irish myth. Maybe with a more sci-fi than fantasy bent; no clue yet.

There is no way there isn't a second season. Too many storylines need to be wrapped up in the last few episodes (Jeremiah/Orange-kun, Suzaku finding out Lelouch is Zero (and hopefully joining the Order of the Black Knights and falling in love with Lelouch, the truth behind CC, the destruction of Brittania, and of course, how Pizza Hut is behind all of this.

I've come the conclusion that:

Pizza Hut = the Rebellion/Black Knights
Domino's = Britannian Empire

Fortunately, 8.5 and 17.5 doesn't count towards the 25 episodes. So we still get 25 and two recaps.

Back at #15, I was afraid if the series would be one season after all, because the pacing still allowed some kind of final closure if the creators are insane. Now? No way. They're tossing up too many plot threads, developments and stuff to end everything in this final season. So we're totally getting Season 2.

How I think it'll end? Japan's Rebellion ends, Lelouch goes global. I REALLY want him to find out he's still really a pawn in someone's chess game after all, but that's a 50/50 thing. The CC plot finally explodes in second season, plus the destruction of Britannia (or not), other subplots...if there is anything that might be resolved in this season, Marianne's death could be it. But somehow I doubt.

yesss, I want Lelouch to go global. think outside the island, baby. XD unlike a lot of other shounen series where the story revolves around two male leads, usually either allies or rivals, I'm starting to wonder if perhaps we place too much weight on Suzaku. And I'm not yet sure how I feel about evil!Lelouch; I just worked through my insecurities and learned to accept his vulnerability. :(

Okay, serious now, I agree with what everyone said. There's a big possibility of season two because there's a lot of different things going on so I doubt Sunrise would pull an Evangelion and end it like that.

There will be a second season, I can guarantee that! Like everyone else above me have said, there are too many unresolved plot points to go through. The last thing I want is for the last three or so eps to be completely rushed, and to end in a crappy manner.

As to how it'll end? I fear Lelouch is gonna die, or someone close to him will. Code Geass is a revenge tragedy, according to one interview.

I was thinking about this recently, haha, and was actually really off-put by the idea of a second season, since I think this show (like... many others) would be one that would suffer if the plot were to drag on for too long. However, I definitely do concede that there are many loose ends that need to be tied up, and are ones that can't really be explained away in a matter of a few minutes. (or so I assume. Prove me wrong, guys, prove me wrong.)

Either way, my two cents really didn't need to be added, but the sound of my own typing excites me so.

My guesses:
-2 season,
-Season 1 - Downfall of Britannia (or at least freeing Japan... or even getting a step further in the downfall)
-Season 2 - Finding Lulu's mummy's killer/ Completing the contract with C.C./Finsihing off Britania.

I'd like to think that thats right because what C.C. said at the beginning of ep 18 something about having two paths, the path of finding his mothers killer and destroying Britannia for his sister.

I'm sort of expecting the finale of this season to be a huge fight with Lulu's new mecha and the new and improved Orange-kun.

I'd like Shinzel to be evil because he looks like the sort of guy who would be evil.

Season 2 is most probably coming..As is the consensus here, neh? There are just too many explanations and revelations lacking to be adequately covered by just 6 episodes..

After watching episode19, I think we could expect revelations to the power of Geass..though following Irish myths and lores shouldn't it be just 'geas'..and since Hangyaku no Lelouch is supposedly Lelouch's story, I believe the ending to be a bit cliffie..something along the lines of a tragedy occuring or revelation coming to light that would set Lelouch more firmly on the warpath against the Empire. I am, at the same time, excited and fearful. Excited because the story is really great..and fearful because I don't want to see my Lulu turned to some Yagami Light(though I am frightfully certain he is gonna become one, though not as righteously homicidal).

But I get the feeling he's gonna succeed in the end unlike Light, though I think Euphie's gonna rule..maybe or maybe not with Suzaku..
