I've kept up with buying all of the Code Geass DVDs as they were released in America, but the R2 DVDs are seriously lacking.

I miss the sound dramas, CDs, and awesome booklets that came with the Limited Edition copies. Where have they gone?

They even dropped the picture dramas entirely!

Not to mention they delete all R2 picture dramas that happen to be subtitled because it goes against copyright law. If they don't even distribute the picture dramas, why should they have power when it comes to them?

Sure the extra flash specials happen to be included, but they're so basic that it might take up to an hour for them to subtitle 3 or 4 episodes.

Does anyone have any idea what is going on??

For all the reasons stated above, and... Probably too much money spent on something that won't be in the hands of many people. And, let's be honest, a lot of the extra content in R2 is pretty ridiculous/crack/fanservice/etc. For example, as much as I love the sound drama about all the girls trying to figure out something Lelouch could beat Suzaku in-- it wouldn't be worth the money. It would involve almost every female voice actor, plus JYB and Yuri, ending up in a lot of money for recording and voice acting on something not many people might even get since it's just an extra in a LE box set. And that's just one track.

I mean, I would have loved to see all the extras, especially since that would make the boxsets actually worth all the money? but, uh. Yeah. Though at least they're giving us something. In some other companies' DVDs their "extras" are just trailers for series licensed under the same company, basically ads, and maybe one dvd commentary.
