Code Geass was named Best TV anime series at the 6th Annual Tokyo Anime Awards. The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi and Death Note were the other 2 winners. Other info here.

Nice!! They sure know how to award..I have to agree that all three are great anime series. Code Geass deserves the award..and Death Note has got to be among the best anime adaptations of a manga, somewhere along the lines of Monster..

Code Geass is definitely one of the best anime of the year. I'm very happy it won. ^_^ Though I'd have to say I think Death Note ties it, but I'm very biased in that regard. That's definitely the best manga adaptation of the year (if not one of the best ever).

That is amazing not for three popular anime titles but for Code Geass to beat those two is something. I'm really pleased on being a Code Geass fan right now. ^_________^
