"Geass is a powerful contract between a human and an immortal. It can either be a blessing or a curse. If one aligns to the contract, his Geass powers will become stronger. If he disobey the contract, he will be punished. In Code Geass Hangyaku 1st season, the characters' powers are too much for them to handle."

What is your geass?

"Rolo: Freeze time."

Wrong. He didn't freeze the time - that was exactly how Lelouch found out about his powers. He just "freezed" brain activity of his opponents

It's not wrong, he was just stopping peoples perception of time. You can't have a lengthy explanation for it every time you talk about it, freeze or stopping time is a perfectly acceptable thing to call it. There are a lot of other errors in that article that could be picked at.

If he could stop the time - it would be possible for him to stop any physical objects.

Peoples perception of time ~ brain activity in that case. If you right "freeze time" - you must mean it. "Freeze people"(or maybe "freeze living creatures") would be much more accurate.

Interesting question. It'd be easy to think of a Geass I want but very difficult to guess how my deepest, most hidden desire would manifest as as an ability to read or influence minds.
(Although for most characters we don't actually know if it stems from hidden desires...where does Rolo's come from, anyway? And if Charles wanted to create a world without lies, why would his true wish manifest as distorting truth? Was Mao's deepest desire to understand people? Was Bismarck struck with crippling anxiety about what tomorrow would bring?)
If I had a Geass (and assuming that everybody's is a little different so I can't just choose to have Lelouch's or Rai's, because seriously they had the best ones) and it sort of fit the theme...I think it would be to affect others' perceptions of my appearance and voice. Basically shape-shifting as a mind power.

I always figured Charles's was because he wanted to change the past...?

That could be it. It just seems odd because re-writing somebody's memories is making them believe something that isn't true; it's like lying to them. I understand that no Geass could change the past for real, so perhaps this is the only way it could manifest, but it just makes Charles seem like a big ol' hypocrite. Maybe that was the point?

Well, I think Charles is an hypocrite. After all he complains about how his brother lied to him, but he lied back as well, not telling him he knew the truth. Also the whole 'I'll send you in Japan to protect you' and then go at war with Japan... well it's kind of a weak excuse.

Rolo and Mao are orphans (okay, so it's unsure if Rolo is technically an orphan but sure thing is he doesn't have a family) who got a Geass when they were children... my guess is their wishes are more on the self protecting side (CC's too in a fashion. If everyone loves her nobody can hurt her...).
So yes, I think Mao wanted to know what people thought in attempt to figure if they were threats or helping people asfor Rolo... he was dragged into the Geass cult and likely doctors poke at him. Maybe he just wanted to stop that? Or maybe he was mistreated before being dragged there.

Thank you!
That's good the post had being reworded. When spreading info about a series one is better be accurate, at least that's what I think.
I remember seeing many times Rolo's power being called 'freeze time' so maybe that's why he used this wording. It's not really accurate though (even if it can work just fine in the fandom...) so I too wish he/she will change it.

Do you think so? Well I guess this bit needs to be changed as well:

If he disobey the contract, he will be punished. In Code Geass Hangyaku 1st season, the characters' powers are too much for them to handle.

Eventually they are able to control their powers. Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass Hangyaku 1st season loses control of his Geass. When one gains control of his Geass again, both of his eyes shine bright, instead of just one.

The guys aren't punished because they disobey to the contract. The Geass has limitations and side effects.
Mao's simply got too strong to the point he couldn't bear it.
Rolo's had as side effect it caused his heart to stop and his boy could bear it only till a certain time.

Neither of the two had broken/disobeyed to the contract they made with CC and VV when side effects started to manifest.

Also it's not like he gained control of it whe he got the simbol in both eyes. It just began more powerful but he still couldn't turn it off. In fact he woretact to both eyes.
