With all these hypothetical questions running around, I just couldn't help but to ask this one:

What would happen to Lelouch's Geass if he lost the use of his left eye? (Like if it was cut in battle by a shard or by someone's sword.)

Oh and less importantly; if not for the war why couldn't Lelouch use an eyepatch to cover any ill-effects of using his Geass and continue on his normal way of life? (Most of you will know what I mean, but I've kept this vague for those who don't.)

Looking forward to some comments (serious, witty, plain funny is all good by me!)

I really couldn't say about the whole damage thing, it's not come up but I'm sure it will.

As far as an eye patch goes, I had thought that too but if we take Mao as anything to go on for the future progression on how the Geass works it's very likely that even if Lelouch wore an eye patch or something else like that it will eventually spread to both eyes, assumming that's what happened to Mao. Power rush, power takes over and can't be controlled, power is attempted to be contained again (ie, eyepatch) and the power spreads future (to the other eye)... And honestly, two eye patches just isn't trendy, you know?

...For some reason, I can't get the idea of Zero trying to fight battles with two eyepatches on. I realize this illogical and counterintuitive. But Zero fighting with blind confidence (aww, sad pun) is hilarious.

Maybe I just have a soft spot for uncharacteristically clumsy Lelouch. Zero should get drunk sometime so we can see what happens. Does he perhaps put on the helmet and reach for a bubbly, only to bump it into the plastic and spill it all over his pants? Ohoho!

Except that Mao's ability was always in his head. He doesn't have two heads for it to transfer to. I think the glowing of Mao's eyes was just evidence that he had such an extensive Geass.

Prediction for conclusion of series:

Lelouch changes his name to Ralphie and demands a Red Ryder. We get official spoilers a month ahead of time showing that Lulu has shirked his catboy duties for bunny pajamas.

As for the eyepatch... *resists FMA ref* maybe if he wore sunglasses? It'd look more snazzy, and raise less suspicion among his posse. 8D Because seriously, if the thing needed to be opaque in order to stop the Geass, wouldn't that mean that Lulu can't see out of his helmet?
