The official website has updated with a synopsis/preview of episode 8.



The Japan Liberation Battle Front has taken hostages at the Lakeside River (kawakuchikohan) Hotel, among them Ashford Student Council members and Princess Euphemia. To save Euphemia and as a declaration to Cornelia, Lelouch leads Kallen's group as 'Black Knights' to free the hostages. However, once he faces Euphemia, Lelouch turns his gun at her. There, Suzaku leads an assault on his Lancelot...

My point exactly. XD Geass has SO many opportunities to break from the mold. I'd die a happy woman if it does that.

I have hope for this one, because CLAMP's in this, and we KNOW how much they LURRRRRRRRRRVE killing people.... XD (I know, I know they're only involved with the character design, but have hope!!)

From what I know of Taniguchi (when he's not making 'serious' series) he likes throwing the cast in deep shit. I mean, his idea of 'a show about youth' was a Lord of the Flies-esque SF with a happy ending. But Geass looks halfway mainstream and halfway niche, I don't know what to expect. XD CLAMP loves killing people. Yes, dude, though I also hope it won't be MEGAANGSTY here, too. XD

But then again, DN is mainstream, and DN is lol on this subject. Here's to hope!
