The official website has updated with a synopsis/preview of episode 8.



The Japan Liberation Battle Front has taken hostages at the Lakeside River (kawakuchikohan) Hotel, among them Ashford Student Council members and Princess Euphemia. To save Euphemia and as a declaration to Cornelia, Lelouch leads Kallen's group as 'Black Knights' to free the hostages. However, once he faces Euphemia, Lelouch turns his gun at her. There, Suzaku leads an assault on his Lancelot...

^-^ My comment on this is that if Lelouche wants to lose Suzaku's friendship, he's really going about it in a successful way. Euphemia better watch it; he's pulled the trigger on a sibling once already...

Lulu apparently thinks being friends with the high-Seigi Suzaku would work if he keeps appearances up. I'd like to see it not working out that way, though, even if they don't know each other's identity as Zero and Lancelot Pilot Dude. I mean, real life relationships fall over because of disagreements and opinions all the time, why not theirs? The elation at seeing 'the only friend you can trust' can fall apart soon enough.

I have no idea what the declaration is about, but maybe it's the stance that 'his' group doesn't want to hurt civilians...but Euphemia is another matter?

From what I know of Taniguchi (when he's not making 'serious' series) he likes throwing the cast in deep shit. I mean, his idea of 'a show about youth' was a Lord of the Flies-esque SF with a happy ending. But Geass looks halfway mainstream and halfway niche, I don't know what to expect. XD CLAMP loves killing people. Yes, dude, though I also hope it won't be MEGAANGSTY here, too. XD

But then again, DN is mainstream, and DN is lol on this subject. Here's to hope!

Well, the Black Knights are established as Kallen's group, unless that thing is misleading us...(though I wonder about their acceptance at being called that, and it's funny considering Suzaku's the White Knight)
The kidnapping? Unless Sunrise pulls another Cat in Mask, it's going to fail. No worries.
Euphemia? We ARE still on high after Clovis' death, I'd say. XD

It just amazes me on how much Suzaku succeeds in 1. being Lulu's enemy, 2. annoying me and 3. getting his butt back into my Gary Stu list when he just got out of there two weeks ago.DD:

Aside from that, I think Euphemia will probably survive. I thought the same before Clovis died, though.XDD;;; But Euphemia is certainly more important than Clovis, added in with Suzaku's Godmode Lancelot BBQing everyone, she has a high chance of survival.

Euphemia does have a place in the OP/ED, so she'd probably survive. I do want her to NOT escape it unscathed, though. You should really pay the price for naivete. It shouldn't be limited to the main character just because he's main.

*sigh* I wish the Lancelot would just blow itself up. THEN maybe I'll kick him out of the Stu list. His stubbornnes + weird sense of justice + godmode = congrats, Suzaku, you have gotten yourself yet AGAIN in my list of Stus.

Plus the fact that she seems to be the only 'nice' heir. There is also her relationship with Suzaku. Escaping unscathed just adds another point for her in the long-run for the list of Mary Sues. I really can't believe it, she is SO naive it isn't even funny. How can you even do that when you grew up in a corrupted family like that? Gosh. I do hope the kidnapping incident this time opens her eyes a bit. Even better, leave her with a traumatic memory that will make her really start rethinking things.

Hmm....I dunno if Shirley will accept the truth if she ever finds out about it, she probably wouldn't sell them out, but I still couldn't see how she will join sides with terrorists, since she's always scolding Rival for doing dangerous stuff.

Euphemia....if she really ends up siding with the terrorists, I would really like to see why and how.:DDD That would be really interesting.

If someone manages to hijack the Lancelot and shows Suzaku/Euphemia/general nice people how terrible such a machine would be in the wrong hands, it'd do a lot more to up its grey (and thus coolness) factor. I mean, it's a MACHINE. Alas, they seem to have that Evangelion synchro factor around.

Yuffie is, like it or not, one of the most deciding factors of how serious/shallow Code Geass' treatment of its themes would be. If she'd done traditionally, it'd be just a traditional show with a non-traditional main. If she's not, then we can expect something new.

Actually, Lancelot would be so much cooler in the wrong hands. Blowing up a few sokais won't hurt, right?:DDD I would simply love Sunrise if they decided to put in something like that. Preferrably in the ep where we can finally say goodbye to Cornellia.:DD I wonder if Lancelot is better than her new Knightmare, whatever that's called.

I have great expectations for Code Geass from what we've seen up till now, and I hope they don't disappoint me. I mean, it ranked #1 in this anime poll or something, on top of Gundam.

It'll be funny if the cat ends up being Suzaku's undoing. I mean, it's named Arthur. ARTHUR. Does he not get the connection of that name, if he's Lancelot romancing Guinevere? I just wish Lancelot is more like Geass---more limited, more sinister. (Lloyd is currently too 'obsessive scientist' to make his side look like a similar Faustian deal) As it is, as long as Lulu keep his operations military, the Lancelot has no limitations. Suzaku should just find himself in a situation he can't muscle or niceguy his way out sometime.

If we go by the Emperor's reasoning, Euphemia has probably never lived at all in her life, haha. It could be that her older siblings sheltered the hell out of her, they seemingly 'won' the political war on that side, after all. If he doesn't kill her, at least here's to Lulu saying something that'd tell her there's no such thing as a fair universe.

It doesn't specify....but it's probably Zero. If he does a Clovis and she survives without a coma, that'd expose him in one instant.
