Apologies if this sort of post has already been mentioned. But I'm really curious with why people hate dislike certain characters from Code Geass.

Personally I really don't like Shirley. I could pull out the generic character card, but there are a lot of characters that can apply to this (I'm looking at you, Euphemia/Lacus clone). But to be realistic, not EVERY single character in Code Geass is going to be original. Hell, some say Lelouch is a Light rip-off. I would hate her less if she wasn't set up to be a romantic possibility for Lelouch. But I just don't like her personality type. Though, to be superficial, what the character looks like is also a factor ^^; For example, I actually don't think Euphemia is all that bad.

Basically, state the character that you hate/dislike and explain your reasoning. I'm interested in those who aren't fond of Suzaku (I'm sort of surprised why some do). It can be anything as long as it isn't incoherent character bashing.

[Edit: Dislike is a better way to put it. Doesn't mean you can't hate either xD]

...Suzaku rubs me in the wrong way.

The thing is, while I do understand that he's also a quite confused and contradictory character and that his actions weren't because of his meanness, I still can't stand him. I used to like him. But episode 25 just totally ticked me off. I know he's got his reasons, but srsly? Who would you believe, this random kid that popped out of nowhere, telling you about this supernatural power called Geass, or your friend whom you've known since seven years ago? I know he's angered, I know he's very much unhappy and in need of reason, yet, doesn't Lelouch even deserve the benefit of doubt?

Also Kallen. I really like her throughout the series(except for the fanservices), but her reaction in 25 totally disappointed me. Before she was willing to work for this unknown masked man to the extent of doing anything to protect him, yet all that devotion just went poof! Because of what? Because Zero is Lelouch. Her reaction surprised me even more than Suzaku. Suzaku's anger was very much expected(although he IS a bit extreme with the 'ZOMG UR EXSISTENCNE IS WRONG!1!1!!!!1! part), but Kallen? I mean, she and Lelouch weren't on SUCH bad terms. Lelouch likes to tease her, she teases him back. I really can't think of any reasonable explanation for her behavior...except maybe...she remembered the gender-exchange festival. Now that would be logical.

:D;; I don't mean to argue or start anything, but I'll point out that Suzaku was justified in episode 25 because he's suspected all along that Lelouch is Zero. From the start he draws a parallel between his friend and Zero, who rescues him, even if at that point it was a totally innocent and random comment, further evidence clues him in though he chooses to turn a blind eye or have faith in Lelouch. He has been giving him the benefit of the doubt throughout the series. The drama episode also reveals his last-ditch attempt to work things out with Lelouch regarding Euphemia's plan, but Lelouch really shoots him down. By the end, they both have the right to be angry and rash.

...I can't explain Kallen though, I don't think about her nearly as much and her fanservice annoys me. XD; Hopefully she'll pull it together soon.
