Mistake and group preferences?

Was I the only one who thought that Shinsen & Ureshii sub for the Emperor's second line in episode 6 was a little off?
Didn't he say something along the lines of, "今クロヴィスと話した...急がなければな けかくご"? Basically, "I was talking to Clovis, we must speed up the plan(?). (I probably screwed up somewhere in both the Japanese sentence and the translation but I'm not claiming to be the purveyor of perfect Japanese. Oh, far from it. XD) But to translate that second part as, "He is on a beach now, at peace", can anyone see where that comes from? Or is this how they've always been, like, their level of translation? (Does that even make sense?) I've only watched episode 6 by them and I noticed some other little things but they weren't quite as odd as this and I always thought Shinsen was a good group so now I'm just curious.

Asking since I'm trying to burn stuff for a friend as part of a get-well present and I'd rather she not end up with odd subs. I personally watch RAWs & gg, since soft subs make taking caps for graphics easier, but the added notes are kind of annoying. So...thoughts?

EDIT: Too many comments, I give up. XD;; Just wanted to thank everyone for their input and I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who noticed the mis-translation.

definitely. and don't translate when you don't know enough japanese. this is even worse than the ouran last episode i saw with the club being a shop, and even worse ~___~

i find that shinsen is consistently one of the best groups out there, and i wasn't that pleased with gg, starting with their decision to only release in mkv and going on to the subs themselves, which i thought were questionable in a few places. i haven't watched episode 6 yet, just their 5, but judging from the text you wrote above, it would mean something like "i talked to clovis today...if we don't hurry [kekkaku = rejection]." i would give people shinsen over just about any other group, really.

if you have time, go through both groups.
gg's beginning episodes were pretty bad, but i guess shinsen made some mistakes in episode 7. shinsen's subs tend to read better.

anyway, you could always just pick the best episode from both groups to share with your friend.

Oh, I'm not certain I heard the Emperor correctly so that whole sentence could be off but isn't rejection 却下? Wouldn't kekkaku be more like...to sustain a loss? Now I don't know where I got plan from but that's not what I really wanted to know anyways so moving on. XD; I don't know anymore, I would say Shinsen is a good group but I've seen better (not for this series though) although that could be because they're not doing this project by themselves. And then avis are larger than mkv while quality levels are about the same. But thank you for your input, it was much appreciated and I'll just mull over it for a while. ^^

XD I don't think many people have time for that. Well, I shouldn't generalize, but as a college student with a part time job, I know I don't. However, when you say they read better, do you mean they translate things less literally? Like puns and irony are still left as is instead of...uh, translated funky or whatnot? Bad example and I'm still struggling to articulate the entirety of what I want to say but I hope that gets my point across. ;-;

I would if I had time to download everything and watch it all! Though I might end up doing that as a way to procrastinate anyways....thank you for you assistance, it was greatly appreciated~

Wow, so many comments. And I didn't know that about Shinsen...might explain a few things but I think I still prefer gg even though everyone's for Shinsen. XD; Thanks for your input!
