Mistake and group preferences?

Was I the only one who thought that Shinsen & Ureshii sub for the Emperor's second line in episode 6 was a little off?
Didn't he say something along the lines of, "今クロヴィスと話した...急がなければな けかくご"? Basically, "I was talking to Clovis, we must speed up the plan(?). (I probably screwed up somewhere in both the Japanese sentence and the translation but I'm not claiming to be the purveyor of perfect Japanese. Oh, far from it. XD) But to translate that second part as, "He is on a beach now, at peace", can anyone see where that comes from? Or is this how they've always been, like, their level of translation? (Does that even make sense?) I've only watched episode 6 by them and I noticed some other little things but they weren't quite as odd as this and I always thought Shinsen was a good group so now I'm just curious.

Asking since I'm trying to burn stuff for a friend as part of a get-well present and I'd rather she not end up with odd subs. I personally watch RAWs & gg, since soft subs make taking caps for graphics easier, but the added notes are kind of annoying. So...thoughts?

EDIT: Too many comments, I give up. XD;; Just wanted to thank everyone for their input and I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who noticed the mis-translation.

I haven't watched Shinsen. gg, though, has more mistakes than I care to count in the first three episodes alone. I mean, 'Jaiereven'? Second in line for the throne? Four is better. Five, didn't watch. Six? I'm still a little annoyed with how "He used to respect the wishes of the individual" turned to "He used to be more selfish", but I didn't watch the entire episode through in sub so I can't give a detailed commentary. But I think you're right on the first two lines. That's what it sounded like to me when I watched the RAW anyway. What did Shinsen translate it to?

Shinsen's always been a good group, imo, but I don't know how prepared/happy they are with Geass. Like someone was saying earlier, they didn't want to do it when the season started. (Understandable, from the Sunrise Mecha stigma. Bleh, they did the Hime/Otome series fine)

i've seen people talk about the 'beach' clovis was on XDDDDD and my friend who's watched the shinsen subs say they changed it to the power of "GEAS" T___T i think it's ureshi that's translating it, and Shinsen doing the other stuff... coz i doubt shinsen can link a beach with clovis DD:

personally, i think gg started off a bit bumpy, but they are going along fine now :) i like them coz they asked around for stuff they didn't know the name of, and hey, THEY STARTED SUBBING IT FIRST!

all hail [livejournal.com profile] rhyste and gg ^_____^

i find that shinsen is consistently one of the best groups out there, and i wasn't that pleased with gg, starting with their decision to only release in mkv and going on to the subs themselves, which i thought were questionable in a few places. i haven't watched episode 6 yet, just their 5, but judging from the text you wrote above, it would mean something like "i talked to clovis today...if we don't hurry [kekkaku = rejection]." i would give people shinsen over just about any other group, really.

if you have time, go through both groups.
gg's beginning episodes were pretty bad, but i guess shinsen made some mistakes in episode 7. shinsen's subs tend to read better.

anyway, you could always just pick the best episode from both groups to share with your friend.
