In any case, it was rather interesting to find out that he had Geass.

Though I still wonder why the Emperor let Lelouch live. Was that out of compassion?forgot about the fact that cc lived, rofl.

yeah it was him..bt when did he do that?hahaha. i was surprised that he was geassed..that is why the BK can easily use the place for his broadcast.

wasn't it mentioned in the anime? when he plotted the whole counter-measure he actually killed three birds with one stone:

1) neutralized the main attacking Britannian force--
2) --and their commander and second-in-command along with it (which was an utterly stupid mistake on Britannia's part but since that surviving knight of Cornelia's was there to save the day, don't think the dude would've made much difference were he to have survived)
3) secure an escape route that led directly towards the Chinese Federation embassy ---> geassing the ambassador

and the command was probably along the lines of "Support our cause".
