Ah yes, I remember that. I think that was either in one of the openings or endings. But what would be the purpose behind giving out geass like that?

CC gave Mao geass as she was lonely(?) and she pitied him, if I remember correctly.. Also, when she found Lelouch, she went Eureka-like.. So maybe fate or some instinctive drive? Who knows..
