Like any person in this community, I'm a Code Geass fan and, one day, after downloading a code geass doujinshi, I tried to search Japanese fansites ( we all know japanese poeples draw very well. A lot of japanese, not all, but almost. )
I spend my time on the Internet, looking for sites of this kind, both heterosexual and homosexual, but I must admit, I have great difficulty for find  heterosexual code geass fansites (  Japanese prefer yaoi? Hm ...)  So I want to share this sites with you because I find it interesting. I would say for each site the main pairing and if the site has adult content or not. In some sites, you must go on the blog for see more fanarts. If you have any code geass fansite I haven't, free to you to say it in the comments and I will edit my post for add it.

If you think this entry is unecessary, free to you to delete it and I apologize if it's the case. And I don't know if it's the good tag.. :/ Aaand sorry for mistakes D8

If you want to find the motherload, go here:

http://www.geass.info/search.htm

It has characters and pairing listed by category and shows which sites just updated~ Enjoy!

Btw, you might have to change your text encoding to Japanese (SHIFT JIS) from default to read some of the words.

It's nice that you're sharing links and I appreciate that sentiment, but...

This is a bit more of a personal ethic than something others will share with me, but I wouldn't have posted those links at all out of respect for the artists. (I encountered too many cases of fanart-icons and art theft for my tastes.)

If I did want to do that for whatever reason, I wouldn't made direct links with those sites (e.g. "ttp:" instead of "http:"), nor would I have advertised them in such a public manner (i.e. behind locks). With the proper software, webmasters(mistresses) can find who linked them and may possibly restrict access to all non-Japanese IPs.

hmmm, I dont understand for this kind circumstances. I'm still new in internet world especially about sharing website. Do you mean that the webmasters don't want people promote their website? So for what purpose they made their website? Sorry if my questions are too stupid ^^;;
Date/Time: 2008-05-19 18:12 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] sapphirus.livejournal.com
They're not stupid questions, no worries about that.

Those webmasters do like promotion for their websites, but there's also a well-founded fear that their art will be taken without permission. In most (if not all) cases, they leave a message on the splash page that says they do not want anyone to take their art and redistribute or modify them. Yet, many individuals ignore that request and it can force the webmaster to either restrict IP or to shut their sites down.

Redistribution in this case would be uploading the art elsewhere, with or without credit (it also includes djs scanning and distributing). Modification would be turning said art into icons, layouts and such (or scanlating).

Seeing that there have been both redistribution and modification on the community, I don't doubt that those webmasters would be displeased about the situation. That's why I recommend making those links non-direct links (it's more hassle for everyone, but it won't cut on the enjoyment of all) and to lock the post.

Yeah, I know it was with good intentions. I'm just trying to make sure those good intentions don't end up with bad repercussions.

well if we look at the fanart guidelines (http://community.livejournal.com/code_geass/142836.html), linking the websites is okay, but i guess indirect linking is better ^^;

Would you update it, please?
That's okay like 2 or 3 years ago. But nowadays it's DEFINATELY NOT okay to direct link. (Although taking art and re-uploading is worse.)
Most doujinshi sites have a warning on "please do not do online bookmark". (Online bookmark = something like this post.) And there's access analysis functioning. They can backtrack where people are coming from. If they found a good amount of access from a suspecious overseas site, lots of artists will give warning on top page or in the diary (which is generally ignored) and then move or simply close down the site. Dozens of doujin sites disappear this way... closed, moved, or become strictly for friends so you'll have to write a nice Japanese email promising you'll behave in her site to get in. XD
And when they move, they usually don't bother to update the data on search sites so they are almost as good as gone. I regretted not checking some sites on a regular basis. When they moved all I can see now is a goodbye pic and message "I moved. Don't bother searching for it 'cause you won't find it."

For fanart lovers, if you see a tiny spinning shuriken at the corner of the page, that's the access analysis program. That shows the artist care about where her site is linked from. Never direct link to doujin sites. Don't make all the good sites close down.

If you wish to show the site, please take out the "h" in http so it won't link just by clicking on it. It won't be reecognized as direct linking if people have to copy&paste the url or add an "h" to it.

Or embrace the "Geass Search". They won't get pissed when linking from Geass Search.

Can i asked something? i never direct linking or posting someone fanart etc, but sometimes i check their site 'a bit' regularly because i love to read their blog and to check their offline (because i bought a doujinshi from my favorite circle). Is there will be bother with them?
i will cry if they closed their site because i can't read the blog and watch their offline againn ;_;
(or should i change my IP into japanese IP.....)

and thank you for explanation for the shuriken icon one.
and i'm glad that someone did really care about fanart protection (thanks to you, koshimizu and sapphirus ) m(_ _)m
because i myself agains art thieves, and fanart iconing

I'm not sure how you would change your IP to a JP IP. It would solve a few problems of IP-restricted sites, but how feasible that solution would be is a bit beyond me.

As for checking their sites... if you have it on your own web browser bookmark, there shouldn't be any problem. Those sites -are- your favourite ones, so I don't see why they would be against it. :) Also, I don't believe the access analysis program would pick much up from that.

I'll try to asking my IT friend for IP address thing :)

Web browser? you mean like a bookmark on firefox or IE?

one of circle (lets called it BB), already put some word like It is correspondence only for Japanese. Excuse me, but I decline the visit from the Japanese foreign territory.
I added a postscript recently because there was much it. I ask for understanding, cooperation
(i copy paste from her site) though i very rare to visit her site, when i re-visited again to check her offline, i found those word on her front page that made me suprised.
So to refrain her from closing her site, i'm avoiding to visiting her site agin, though i want to read her blog and check her offline *sobs*

..ouch XD that post was dating 2007, one year ago.

if you really want it to be revised, i can make a new post and ask for everyone's opinion on how to handle it, since this is a community and not just me/[livejournal.com profile] nokiirat saying stuff.

after the first series of posts about it, there hasn't been much/any more japanese fanart posts, except for doujinshi scans and all. so i never found a need to update it ^^;

Alternatively, to what [livejournal.com profile] koshimizu said, if people want to leave the "http:" in completely, then a good idea would be to leave it as text on the post instead of making an active link. People can copy/paste those in their URL bar.

...Though I can already imagine people going "you didn't make an active link out of it"... :/

Until it I gonna draw fanart myself T^T!
Date/Time: 2008-05-20 04:23 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] koshimizu.livejournal.com
You can try digging in LuluSuza sites, or other Suza-uke sites. :) They may not register as GinoSuza site because that's not the main couple supported. I see some nice GinoSuza art hidden in those sites, sometimes in the diary or blog. For example, RenbuOuhen(www2.plala.or.jp/aibu-max/, BTW this site is 18X) has nice art on page 3 in her diary, and 2 page manga (hentai) on page 4.
