Geass episode 9 postponement

Apperently episode 9 of Geass is being postponed from it's June 1st airing due to the earthquakes in China.

Neither actually. Low ratings aren't a problem and they're relatively ahead of schedule in terms of production (I think they're recording episode 13 right now). The problem is the episodes take place in the Chinese Federation and the episodes will have battles, presumably with Lelouch ripping up the terrain. In light of the horrendous earthquake, to move the episodes by a week is the right thing to do. This wouldn't be the first anime to have episodes delayed due to natural disasters, terrorist attacks, violence etc.

As said, it's speculation on my part right now because there's not yet an official reason given. I would much prefer if it were due to the earthquake, that shows sensitivity to international affairs that I generally would not attribute to yon average entertainment industry. =)
