Geass episode 9 postponement

Apperently episode 9 of Geass is being postponed from it's June 1st airing due to the earthquakes in China.

How so? They're ahead on production, not behind. They finished recording episode 12 over a week ago and are currently working on (or are finished with) episode 13.

I meant the delay because of an earthquake, at least then though the earthquake happened in Japan.. I think if they want to not air it they should just not air it in China, if it even airs in China.

I think it's also due to the use of the Chinese political element in the show itself. I suppose it's out of respect since they /are/ essentially borrowing the use of said element.

That, and the next few episodes seem pretty heavily focused on the Chinese Federation. Whatever the creators have planned to happen in them, it's not gonna seem very appropriate to just go ahead with it as if there wasn't any recent large-scale tragedy in real life China.
