So because we had to wait a week before the next episode is aired, I got thinking. I was wondering how other people thought the series would end. I mean, it could go so many ways and directions and they'll probably end this season with a BIGASS cliffhanger as well.



1.) I'm one of those people who believe this whole entire thing was orchestrated by the Emperor. So I am kind of hoping that at the very end, when the Emperor's dying or something to that effect, he'd publicly announce that the rightful heir to the throne is Zero.

That could go a couple ways, I think. Either way, Zero's identity as Lelouch Vi Britannia would be revealed. The Order could go crazy with this new knowledge and do who knows what. Or Lelouch could be the new Emperor of a empire that distrusts him more than anything else. After all, he did go around killing off his siblings and a shitload of Britannians. I wonder how he'd manage in that situation, though he does have the charisma and intelligence to sway some people.

Still, the Order would have a lot to think about. They hated Suzaku for betraying them and helping the Britannians to reform it from the inside. They also used Zero (or rather he used them) who in turn betrayed the Britannians to reform society and eventually the world. I'm not sure exactly how they would react to the fact that Zero's Britannian (I mean, Diethard is Britannian and they don't seem to particularly care), but Zero is still their leader and a symbol of their fight for freedom. Goodness, I'm talking in circles here, so I'll stop.

Oh, haha, Nina's reaction. Mmhm.

2.) My inner fluff-fangirl wants Lelouch and Nunnally to have a happy reunion. Then he would wave Rolo over there and introduce him to Nunnally as her new brother. Fluuuuuff. Though I seriously doubt this would happen, I can dream, right? ;_;

4.) Um, I got nothing.

So does anyone else have any ideas or theories on how the series would end? Or maybe how they'd want it to end regardless of whether or not it would happen?

Also, I have a kink for Zero being revealed publicly to a huge amount of people, whether it's to the Order, Britannians, or the world. Are there any fics that pull this off?

1.) I kinda like the idea of the emperor being behind the whole thing too, though I can't exactly pinpoint why. Also... I'm pretty sure the Kuro no Kishidan already know that Zero is Britannian. Didn't it come up in the first season? Or am I going crazy?

1.) Well, this is what confuses me. In the first episode of R2 (I think) there were a couple people in Knightmare frames that welcomed Lelouch back as Zero (sans the costume). The Order knows the Lelouch isn't Japanese, but not that he's Britannian. Sooo... I dunno. I can't remember who the hell would know of Zero's identity other than Kallen and C.C. *pulls at hair*

2.) Oh god, it'd be so cute. I have a really big soft spot for Rolo. :'(

3.) I THINK I'D FLING SOMETHING AT THE COMPUTER MONITOR IF THAT REALLY HAPPENED.

I think Lulu and Nunnally will have a bittersweet reunion. He will be identified as Zero, and her reaction to it may really hurt him. And when they do reunite, someone will die. It may not be the two of them, but they will have to offset the reunion with something tragic.

I think the Emperor has a hand in everything, but it come back at him at the end. Something will go horribly wrong, and he will bite the dust. However, it will not be teh end of things.

Yes, her reaction would really, really hurt him. I mean, just calling out for Suzaku left him wandering around in anger, pain, and frustration for an episode. And I think she said she couldn't forgive all sins, so I can't imagine how things would turn out whenever she finds out. :(

Ohgi and Villetta babies would be made of so much awesome. Man, I ship them so much. ♥

I hope something bites him in the ass in the end, as manly as the guy can be. I don't think the Emperor's death would mark the end of the series either. *sigh* I wish the episodes were released quicker than once a week.

talking seriously, i have the secret hope that Rollo and Lulu ARE brothers, you know, Rollo and Nunally's hair are the same color and so (that's an stupid reference to avail my thesis xD)... That emperor guy looks like he loves to make babies to every maid he had.

I want Suzaku die or turn to Zero's side. or both.
And why not, Suzaku dies saving Zero from a bullet from the emperor (you can fill the place of Suzaku with every character too)

And for my favorite character (Kallen) she will die saving Zero. Then Zero will embrace she and her last words will be: "I love you, Lulu" (NOT ZERO, LULU!!!). And then Ruruchu will discover that he also loved Kallen, and something like the "Euphienator reaction" of Suzaku will happen to Lelouch, will kill everyone and will be the new emperator of britannia

Yeah, Rolo (or is it Rollo, I don't know) does have the same eye color. Or very similar eye color, whatever. Wasn't that why Lelouch paused at his picture when he was looking through the album? And, haha, the Emperor is such a pimp.

Suzaku can't die saving Lelouch from a bullet. He geassed the guy to live so the most he could do is probably block the bullet or something.

Haha, a shipper, yes? I personally don't think Lelouch can love anyone at this point, but still. I hope Suzaku finds out what happened to Euphy and why she was geassed. (Accidentally, hoshit.)

Nice post. Somehow gave ideas for me to continue the one AU I postponed again. And this discussion made me wanna write ANOTHER geass fic, not that other ideas hadn't already popped up already by now. OTL.

1) Oh nice. I did have a theory that the Emperor orchestrated everything and Lulu going batshit about it for doing exactly what he wanted despite him thinking that he's fighting Britannia for Nunnaly and justice for Marianne and all that jazz. Hahaa.... wth. Plot bunnies. XO

3) Hahahaha. For some reason Star Wars Empire Strikes Back scenario popped up in my mind. XD

Other thoughts?
For some reason the fanfic end musing in my head always end up with Lulu getting killed, killed himself or Die together with dear old daddy. Blame the CLAMP brain influence XO. Really, I hoped in the end it wouldn't turn like that.

1) -> I'm hoping for something like that, without the gargantuan cliffhanger. Especially the orchestrator of everything (Emp. Charlie Britannia) was actually testing his son or trying to make his life a living hell if he was fit to be in the throne.

2) ->They'll have a reunion, but it's mostly likely fluff-less and with Rolo's intense hate towards Nunally since she took his place...

3) ->the gunshot's too weak for me. I'd like too see something grandeur, like father, like son ^{explosions everywhere}

4) I'd love to have Lelouch break CC's curse of immortality, then they'll get married and have such pretty kids with attitude (twins). Also, they'll reveal what her name is.

5) angry lusting is taken into a new level between Suzaku and Kallen

6) Xing Ke (Chinese hawt man) will be another angle in the lines between CC and Lelouch

7) CC should have a more bigger role, I feel like she's being pushed into the background. I don't like her being a wallflower

Me too, or least he approves of it. I picture that Marianne made her "death" to help create Lelouch into the kind of person he is because she wants him to become Emperor/rule in some manner?

The idea of the Order (errr, the rest of them) finding out Lelouch is not only Britannian but a prince has me like, in this weird orgasmic fit because I picture it being very very messy and ohgod I love this show and its messes.

2. THIS WOULD BE SO CUTE. Itookindawantinthatnotlikelyway. I still anticipate how Nunnally will react when/if she finds out Lelouch is Zero.

Oh yes, yes, the messy outcome from Lelouch's true identity would be so much fun. 8D I get the feeling Diethard would be having orgasms himself because Zero would become even more "interesting" as he would put it. Aaah, chaos and riots. I'd imagine Sayoko, Kallen, and C.C. would be doing some damage control (on the assumption that Kallen figures out his royal lineage through Nunnally).

1) Honestly, that would make me SAD because it would turn the whole series into this looping spiral of irony and that would be too much for Lulu (and me). Plus I can't see the writers stripping Lulu of that dignity.

4) I should hope that Lelouch's demise (if it happens) isn't related to his Geass. That would make me cry. D: And I don't think that Kallen or Suzaku would die. ('Cause there wouldn't be any more cool Knightmare fights where Laksharta and Lloyd get to one-up each other D:) To me, Kallen represents the Japanese spirit and Suzaku represents Euphemia's. Not to mention Suzaku was commanded to live.

In terms of plot: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST, THEREFORE... LELOUCH loses the race WINS. I envision some kind of face-down between Lelouch and the Emperor, and Lelouch will seem to lose, but he'll have actually concocted this batshit crazy plan that will ensure his success as he distracts the emperor.

And then a happy ending. With Ohgi and Viletta making lots of babies and Rolo becoming Lelouch's adopted little brother and Nina dying >:.

1) I dunno, writers can be very sadistic with their characters. :3 But I like irony, so who knows.

4) Death by Geass? Huh, if by related you mean caused by someone who he Geass'd earlier, I can see that sort of happening, but it doesn't seem dramatic enough. I think he'd die a flashier death, maybe with the eye imploding or something. *shot* And Suzaku could probably die if someone gets to him before he realizes what's going on. I don't think anyone *can* though since he has nice HAX skills.

Oh Lelouch and his physical fitness. XD; Yeah, I get the feeling Sunrise would use the "Oh no he's losing, he's going to lose, wait a minute he made this plan WHEN?" method for that fight. Actually, I love his plans. They give me a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Nina dying on a table? Hmm, you know what? I wish she realizes what an asshat she's been. Unless she stays a racist girl until the very end. Hrm.

The problem is the Emperor being behind everything seems too obvious. Yes, both him and V.V. look like they are the "final" bosses, but something makes me wonder whether there isn't someone else behind everything. Mainly...I'm just really suspicious of C.C. and her little constant conversations with Marianne. That and the whole disappearance of Marianne's body disturbs me. Wouldn't be surprised if it was Marianne doing the manipulating behind the scenes this whole time. Now, hopefully my paranoia is just paranoia and Marianne will stay dead. But man...when bodies go disappearing in anime it's usually a bad, bad sign. Or a good sign if you happen to want that character alive. I'd prefer if Marianne stayed dead.

Paranoia aside, I could see the Emperor choosing Lelouch to be the next Emperor. I think the whole thing with Lulu is very amusing to him. And according to his survival of the fittest mentality if Lulu can win, then he deserves to be the next Emperor. But he has other things on his mind besides the empire....this whole "killing gods" and sword of akasha thing seems to be his main concern more then Lelouch. The whole Lelouch thing seems more like a side hobby to him.

Yeah, it does seem obvious. I can see them pulling a Final Fantasy and having the REAL final boss be someone we've never seen/heard of. Also, disappearing bodies do usually mean that the person is either alive or someone's using it for their dastardly deeds. Haha, Marianne planning the entire thing and starting it off with her death; I half want to see that come true.

I never really understand his true intentions, the sword of Akasha business. Eh. And yeah, Lelouch hasn't really been high on his list of priorities. I mean, it'd be so easy to just shoot the kid with an assassin early on the season. But maybe it has something to do with C.C., who knows.

Everyone's been debating who Lelouch will end up with [if he doesn't die], I kind of wouldn't mind a tragic romance C.C. end if they pulled it off well, though there's always the fact that it could feel very tacked on. In fact I think all the shipping endings would feel tacked on at this point, I don't think its necessary for a satisfactory ending. :/

I want Suzaku to be happy, but doubt that's likely to happen, and if we were to die, I'd want a horribly tragic and heroic death for him in the last episode ;__; Also, Lelouch going crazy. Tragic end would fit the series more, but a happy Lulu/Nunnaly/Rolo family is such a nice image ♥

Well, I'd personally want the ending to remain ambiguous without any canonical relationships. I mean, the attraction to Lelouch on Shirley and maybe even Kallen's part is there, but I can't imagine Lelouch actually going out of his way to pursue a romantic relationship unless he benefits somehow. I think the theme of friendship and family would be highlighted, focusing on Suzaku, Nunnally, and maybe even Rolo.

A tragic end would indeed fit the series. Something's going to happen to Suzaku. His rise to his position (while probably necessary for the show) is too quick and he's undergone a huge character shift. :S Lelouch going crazy is possible if Nunnally dies. D8

I kind of do if only to stop me from thinking so much. XD And yet when I reach the end I'll be saaaad.

Well, the idea that everything was orchestrated by the emperor (or Marianne) seems awesome, and I would love it because it would be a great twist that would seriously mindfuck Lelouch. And give him even more RAAAAGE at his daddy. And RAGE!Lelouch is a good Lelouch. <3

Even though I want Lelouch to end up living happily, I don't see it happening. My preferred ending is that everyone is dead (except for Nunnally, who went crazy at discovering what her brother did in HER name, and Rolo is off missing somewhere, probably angsting because Lelouch rejected him in the end) and even though he achieves his goal and overthrows Britannia, there's nothing left for him to live for, so Suzaku kills him in a mercy killing sort of thing.

Then Suzaku becomes the new prime minister of Japan and rebuilds the world after that.

It makes sense to me, since Lulu's always going about "destruction, destroy, tear down the empire, etc." and Suzaku's name (Suzaku = the Southern Pheonix) means rebirth and reconstruction. So I kinda hoped that take it literally with Lelouch destroying everything and Suzaku (who just wanted to die, poor guy) being left with the task of rebuilding a new world in order to atone.

Though, there's so much symbolism in Geass, that you can plug it for just about any ending. :/

My personal pet theory is Rollo killed Marianne. How's that for traumatizing? Lots of potential holes/problems in my theory but wouldn't it be awesome for Lelouch to geass/slaughter most of the royal family trying to find out the truth behind Marianne's death only to discover the person who knew most of the details was beside him all along?

Iunno I kinda had this weird feeling it'd end up being something out of Final Fantasy Tactics. Nunnally becomes the vassel of a god. Lelouche kills her or gets rid of it, Jupiter blows up. Suzaku becomes king of the world. Orange and Lloyd walk off into the sunset and become a crimefighting duo of justice.
