Code Geass cosplay at the London MCM

That's me (C.C.) and my lovely friend Yuki (Lelouch) and a lot of great people we found at the MCM. I was the only C.C. in the whole convention! :O
My outfit was made in 2 nights, so I'm not really proud of it. The MCM was at the same time as my finals at uni so i didn't have time...(that's why i only had time to paint the tip of the boots but not the knees!) :/
More group pics, this time with Euphie

We found a Kallen!

Suzaku and Lelouch

The only way to make up height and to bring them to the actual characters' heights (or relative heights in comparison to the rest of the group) is by wearing boots, and they both already tried to choose more manly looking ones rather than the hooker boots that a lot of people chose to wear. The opposite is also true - I had to wear practically flats for Cornelia because I was already at her height or taller, and Guilford and Suzaku would look too short in comparison. orz Personally, I would rather have a Guilford who is at the correct height but with heels rather than a very short Guilford with flat shoes. xDDDDD

Besides, during a con, unless you are permanently looking down, most people would look at the upper portion of the body first and would usually choose to nitpick on your face, and whether you are fat or not first and foremost, so for most cosplays, footwear isn't the first thing you want to get accurate.
One more thing to understand is that we did not really intend for these costumes to show the footwear when we photoshoot them, since alright fine... Suzaku would not wear tall heels
although it would have been more useful if he did have them when he did that magical kick. It's just that it's a bloody con pic and you have no control of how and where people would take photos of you.(no subject)

And yeah, people are more aware of heights at a con, especially if you are in a group, though cosplaying alone it might not matter as much. XD Though I personally don't like cosplaying characters which would require me to wear exposed bitch heels. I was supposed to be Clovis (though wouldn't put it past him to wear one *remembers his swimsuit design*). XD
And don't worry, I won't be photoshooting their footwear at all :P. I suppose it is also a photographer's challenge to have an eye for angles in which certain things don't have to show, without compromising the presentation of the cosplay. Their shoes are not the focal point of their costume, so I can make do without including them in the photos. Of course if the footwear is an integral part of the costume, then it will have to be accurate right down to the heel. At certain angles, heels will bring one closer to giving the illusion of long legs, as long as it does not look like the person is on them. Again, it's a photography challenge. I will keep it in mind while I do the photoshooting. ^_^
Sorry for the long reply, but it's nice to hear people's reasonable suggestions/opinions every now and then. Only way to improve.
And Suzaku will never sprain an ankle, since he is THE Suzaku. He can walk on walls. LOLOL (seriously though I think I am one of the rather few Suzaku fans out there :/)
