Puberty?!

Hey guys! I didn't particularly understand one part of Episode 9. Question under the cut, semi-spoilers if you haven't seen episode 9 of Season 2 yet.

Okay, so during the banquet for Tian Zi's marriage, Lloyd introduces Milly (Yay! Interaction! <3) to Kanon. Kanon jokes around say something about how it's weird that Lloyd took interest in another human, and in one translation, he responded saying it was because of the "time of growth," or something, and the other one was something about how he was still in puberty (LOL, I cracked up at this xD). I don't really get it...? Is it really supposed to be a sort of off-color joke about puberty and Lloyd's maturity, or was the joke lost in translation? D:

Oh, and as a side note, does anyone know where I can find non-smutty fanart of OugixViletta or CorneliaxGuilford? (possibly even LloydxMilly or LloydxCecile, if it exists? o-o)

Personally I don't think it's got anything to do with being in puberty (lolwut, which subbing group translated that?). I think it's more like he's saying "well, I'm still young," more than a joke about his maturity. :'D

What he "means" is that he's getting older.
Whether 成長期 refers to mental or physical maturity is for you to decide.

LOL. xD Ah, I'm so bad with languages. I can only speak a couple of Indian (Asian) dialects and Spanish, but when it comes to stuff like Japanese I'm restricted to "otaku" knowledge. (Ewwww, Japanglish. >.> I apologize.)

Ah, but that seems like an understandable translation too. *nods* I actually think that fits better, because even though he's growing older I think this sounds like it should be more about progress. Ignore my lack of coherency. xD

I r frum gg and i r editor. Even tho we put "blah blah lloyd is growing up", which can be ambiguous, its my belief that he means it more like, "Well I'm moving along and doing/trying new stuff" but he says it in a very Lloyd-ish manner. This seems like its the "right" idea to me mainly because Canon is like, "Holy shit wow dude you're here didn't see that one coming" before hand, so it goes along w/Lloyd showing signs of changing.

I suppose it's him joking about his own maturity- Lloyd is to an extent just a (very smart) child who wants to play with his (very complex and powerful) toys. He doesn't really give two shits about the world of adults and the rules it has, as shown by his way of referring to the Emperor, his wanting to use an Eleven as the pilot of the Lancelot in the first place, etc.

Which makes his pairing with Milly all the more interesting, since she's also fighting tooth and nail to not grow up and stay out of the world of adults (sabotaging her matchmaking sessions, intentionally repeating her last year of school, etc.) I'm thinking it could partially be due to her own disillusionment with that world after seeing her family's fall from grace (and probably also knowing the full story of what happened to Lulu and Nunnaly,) and of course also just because she's happy where she is.

I guess you could say that Milly actively tries to stay out of that world as long as she can whereas Lloyd successfully stays out by being as oblivious to it as he can get away with and being smart enough for people to put up with him in spite of that.
